I found another character redesign thing he did. He also thinks Zatana's iconic fishnet outfit doesn't look appropriate for a stage magician. (Even the animated, 90's Batman version.)
I'm really getting tired of the "my mission in life is to make comic books/video games 2% less transphobic" martyrs, seriously if you are this upset about a couple of singlets in a comic book then step away. But no, I guess these people have a DESTINY HOBBY and all its other participants must get the same "to truly liberate women we must always draw them in sweatpants" lobotomy as them.

"dealings with Hollywood" = sending a flood of emails to famous producers and directors and never getting a reply.

and the subsequent open letter fellow webcomic artist magnolia pearl did up, an excerpt here:

However, if you really do care about female characters in media, or care to know why so many people seem to be angry with you about it, I would do one of two things. If you don’t want your comic to present its female characters in a borderline-erotic light, then stop doing that. If you don’t mind that, then by all means continue, but please just admit that you like drawing t&a and that it’s not particularly empowering, or feminist, or a celebration of personal agency. As a woman, I resent being told that men’s eye candy is actually meant to uplift me and that I should celebrate it.

edit: forgot diaz's response to the comic

I think at the very least, the colouring is nice!
Honestly, I tend not to go for insulting someone's art ability... unless it's warranted (hi Preston)

I will say though, it's so utterly frustrating when popular and/or talented artists turn out to be completely awful people. To the point nowadays I have to research artists extensively before I ever allow myself to get invested in 'em. I had my heart broken too many times already...

On the ED forum someone called Diaz a typical "Beta". While I don't think much about this whole PUA/Redpill/etc. terminology, I kinda understand the idea, Diaz always looks so weak and melancholic and pallid and unhealthy.

He probably thinks he's looking like a cultured gentleman, but he only comes across as a weak little sad man.

That is exactly the sort of person I wouldn't have to speak one word to in order to know I'd hate everything about who he is.

I never got the appeal of steampunk to begin with.

I like when is well-developed, but it's so lazy and overdone these days that I don't mind not seeing it for a couple of years.

His use of Steampunk for reinvention is a perfect example of lazyness. The only example that may fit with it is Legend of Zelda done in a proper, but Díaz is so enthralled with double-breasted coats, monocles and whatnot that Steampunk!Superman or Steampunk!X-men is dull and derivative.

Don't forget stick-boy, steampunk!Cyborg. I agree, his stuff is dull and like Brooke McEldowney, he isn't as smart as he thinks he is.

This is what I consider a fun example of Steampunk (yes, she's my avatar). Though Diaz would whine that she has less clothes in her later levels and none of the girls look like Kimiko.

What really annoys me about Diaz is that he thinks he's a very educated, "high brow" person who creates great, important art, while in fact he's just a souped-up nerd who is into run-off-the-mill nerd stuff.
In a way, he's like a nerdy Ayn Rand. (Yes, I know he created a character based off her.)

You mean like Tom Preston, but without the rampant sexism, bear avatar and with slightly better art skills?

I was wondering where your avatar was from.
