Good to see Phil is still DEMANDING money from people like the greedy, entitled shit he is instead of humbly asking like a normal person would. There IS a way to dye with Sharpies, but from the pics it looks like he legit just scribbled all over that thing.
I also like that he's having to put off working on it until the sharpie smell dissipates, but apparently has no problem inhaling the filth fumes the thing already emits.

I don't know whether the Sharpie smell would make things better or worse. If the smell is strong enough to overpower Phil's own reek (
), then I would say I am firmly in favour of solvent abuse in this instance.

Even if it was listed as "genuine" leather, it still would be crap. Genuine leather is bottom of the barrel which is why it's cheaper and doesn't last nearly as long as the high quality material.
Tbh, his attempts at crafting gets me every time. He gets an idea of how something is done, yet does it the most :autism: way possible. Eventually, the vest will just disintegrate.

He does suck at maths, but not quite as badly as it first appears. He actually says it survived "the second half of five years of houselessness." He doesn't specify when in 2014 he got it, so he might be more-or-less right in terms of the time frame.
However, it is still very autistic to dye a vest with a Sharpie.

I'd argue that Phil was more homeless than houseless. He had places to stay most of the time, even to the extent of having a permanent address for a while. But he's never really settled anywhere. It's not like he's part of any sort of community, he just latches on to whatever group will let him in until he can't get any more out of them.

That's the vest that Phil wore nonstop. It already smelled like the worst thing imaginable... and now it has sharpie fumes on it. I'm not sure it's helping though. Instead of just stank ass, now it has an additional smell of sharpie. If it didn't make people nauseous before, it will now.
