On Monday, just before jury selection began, Araujo had agreed to plead guilty in a sweetheart deal that would shorten his probation time. However, before the deal was signed and finalized, he rejected it after learning that he would be barred from carrying weapons, like mace, for a year. The trial then proceeded with six people, plus two alternates, being selected as jurors.

I'm trying to be optimistic but it wouldn't surprise me if she allowed him to keep carrying it 24/7. You know, the weapon that he used to commit the crime that he was found guilty of.

I can’t help but feel that Ngo isn’t helping. Phil is violent, at least in his head, but he’s not really dangerous. I don’t doubt that when Phil sees these articles, possibly after getting someone to read them to him, he bounces and squeaks with glee. Ngo portrays him as the badass he wants to be, and Phil is not smart enough to spot the subtlety.
