Given Beauty and the Beast salt was a thing, can a case be made for merging to create a general Disney salt thread?

Wait, that was a real thing? I thought it was just a joke Rick and Morty came up with.
Apparently he was originally a Chinese Arabican.
The irony of this is that Aladdin and his people weren't even middle easterners or muslim in the 1,001 Nights. They were supposed to be far easterners. Far far away in a distant land and all that.
So basically he was Uyghur, which I don't think Disney would want to cast.
Why the hell are they making a live-action Aladdin remake in the first place?
I'm more surprised this movie is a thing at all.Show of hands: how many of you are not surprised at all by this?
Just as I was mentioning animu...The irony of this is that Aladdin and his people weren't even middle easterners or muslim in the 1,001 Nights. They were supposed to be far easterners. Far far away in a distant land and all that.
Not Shaq?Motherfucking will smith is supposedly going to be the genie.
but they are in the far east. far, far east from los angeles, california. The irony of this is that Aladdin and his people weren't even middle easterners or muslim in the 1,001 Nights. They were supposed to be far easterners. Far far away in a distant land and all that.
Better him than Kevin Hart....Motherfucking will smith is supposedly going to be the genie.
Oh shit I just realized that if Will Smith is the Genie and it's still going to be a musical, he's going to be a rapping genie. And we had a rapping genie in the 90s.
This isn't an Aladdin live-action remake. It's a Kazaam remake disguised as Aladdin.
The reason it's a "live-action" film is because so long as they use some real camera shots, maybe add a human to the opening, and a handful of real antelope, it doesn't matter if the entire major cast is CG; having that "live-action" next to the search results produces more cash than "animated."Even better: Why are they making a live-action Lion King remake? How much of it will be actual live-action as opposed to CGI?
Clearly Dev Patel is the only Indian actor in the universe. Lol, these people are asshats. If you want to make it fun and appealing, just hire a Bollywood crew to do the whole fucking thing.
EDIT: Frank Caliendo should be the Genie.

Saying the original story starred Asians (not the British definition) is irrelevant. This remake is based on Disney's animated film, which was obviously set in a fictionalized Middle East.
I would like it if the SJWs whined about cultural appropriation. Disney is lame and deserves it.
Aladdin was a Muslim Arab. The story is set in "China" because it's a fairytale. The characters have Arabic names and titles, the citizens of the capital of "China" all pray to Allah, revere the prophet Mohammed, pay in dinars, the princess wears a burqa, the marid obeys Solomon's ring. The villains are the Vizier (you know, the advisor of the Sultan of China), two North African sorcerers and one Jew cheating honest Muslims out of money, as Jews do. No one is Chinese or even Indian. The irony of this is that Aladdin and his people weren't even middle easterners or muslim in the 1,001 Nights. They were supposed to be far easterners. Well,we're talking about muslims. They must've been planning to invade China while creating the tale.Aladdin was a Muslim Arab. The story is set in "China" because it's a fairytale. Aladdin is of the worst stories for the triggereds to cry racism or cultural appropriation about.
