Cue a hell of a lot of people in the comments going nuts; asking Alex to put more layers on the bebe, saying that Ari's skin is mottled and blue looking, and one claiming to be a nurse commented that the dorsum of Ari's hand/wrist is swollen and discoloured.

It seems Ari isn't taking her bottles as well as Alex would like everyone to believe.

Perhaps because they're filling the poor bebe full of fucking air. Someone qualified needs to come to that apartment and show them again how to correctly feed Ari.

She also has her exercising on the floor seems to be quite often like she's 6 months old. She's too exhausted to feed. She's tbh looking quite unwell compared to the nicu.

I mean... do you expect NOAH to do all of her care giving? Ari better step up, she's a month old already. Time to earn her keep and become primary care for mom.

For all they know, That apartment temperature is kept at 80. Since Alex rarely wears clothes and doesn’t have much body fat it may always be warm in there-hence her house fag and his hot pants.

Also, while it does appear she cannot feed the baby in a good position, they do have bottles that prevent air from going to the nipple. They could be using one of those.

I’m not defending her, that woman should never have been a mother, but I don’t think people know enough to say the baby is starving or cold.

I wish she’d address the care situation. She needs somebody there 24/7 in two shifts for Ari. And if they have time to get to her, fine. If they don’t, hand her some solo cups.

Baby looks a little cold and maybe a little bruised and swollen on that wrist, but keep in mind how tiny their proportions are. She probably just needs a good warm-up cuddle and nothing more.

She looks like a pretty typical shade for a white or Asian baby that's born in the winter.

Official internet diagnosis: Needs less trying to rush her along in growing up and more snuggles. Not a big deal, just another "dumb first time parents" minor mistake that makes no real difference. Calm down, p/Redditors.

If the real problem was the child's safety, plans would have been made immediately upon hearing that Noah knocked a semi-spud up, not that she's forcing him to take care of his kid?
Of course he can't be involved if he's halfway across the country, living with his parents, unless you count video calls as parenting, he and his family knew that he would the primary care giver.

Additionally how does the father's rights angle play into this, as the father in this situation spends his days strung out and feening to post his starfish to all 38 of his OF subscribers. Is this an attempt of garnering sympathy and saving Noah's reputation by painting him as a long suffering victim to an evil baby mama? Seeing as they lie about his addictions, I wouldn't be suprised.

Surely is would make the most sense to try and remove baby A from both of their custodies? Wouldn't be easier to prove that they are both unfit, instead of trying to prove both that Alex is unfit (easy), and that Noah is fit to be a parent (impossible to even try fudge)

We all know that Noah's folk will do all the raising if he gets custody, why do they not simply communicate with the other adults in this situation, Alex's parents?

And tbh there are so many different types of nurses, ep rns. A PACU nurse and icu nurse is very different than a pediatric nurse. And of course, people are wrong all the time in general.

A baby with hypothermia would present as cold and red, respiratory issues etc. there’s way more to it than pale skin. Ari looks like a normal white baby, in fact her jaundice seems to have resolved.

And just for info in case anyone ever needs it, a rectal temp (yes that’s how,you do it in babies) of 95 f or less is hypothermia. Auxiliary temp (armpit) can be measured but rectal is the most accurate .

The problem that Alex has is that she has made a rod for her own back.

She has spent her whole pregnancy stubbornly determined to show everyone how capable she is, how much she can do, right down to the nonsense with pushing the damn stroller - all so she could convince the haydurs that she can do everything as well as an able bodied mother.

The trouble is, a lot of people really believed that. There were a few disabled people, a couple that had SMA, in Alex's comments that were seriously considering starting a family after seeing how well she was portraying coping with pregnancy and motherhood.

Unfortunately I think that what is happening now is that the haydurs are discovering that Alex is not managing quite as well as she had been projecting, and they're loving it.

I wish Alex had taken this opportunity to be real and honest about the struggles as a disabled parent. She could have been a source of inspiration and information to other disabled people, and perhaps managed to land some sponsorships.

Pretending life is completely perfect helps no-one, not least yourself.

Giving Alex the benefit of the doubt here, because I really don't think she's a bad person, just extremely immature and naïve, but I wonder if subconsciously she's eager to see Ari gain the mobility that she herself doesn't have. Parents want their children to have advantages that they themselves did not. It's pretty common to hear parents say that they want their children turn out "better" than they did, in all kinds of ways. Most of the time, the specific"better" isn't such an obvious thing.

I actually find it kind of sweet that Alex appears so excited to have Ari moving around. Many parents dread that stage because suddenly, a child who previously stayed where you put him is "into everything" and must be watched like a hawk.

For some reason this just gave me a pang of sadness, because a really lovely part of having a baby is all the time you can be physically close to you baby, including baby massage after a bath before bed. Alex will never be able to do that with her kid, and that feels really sad to me.

We have two new stories and two new things to rage about. The obvious one is the "co sleeping", some thought it was staged and didn't jump on the outrage bandwagon. I'm not posting those comments because you know the drill, from any mom group out there, you will see the same arguments.

They are angry that Alex is sunning herself while Ari is dying of hypothermia in the apartment (by the way, is she alone?) Or, the baby is on the roof with them getting too much sun, selfish bastards.

I am anti Alex but I'm even more anti hysteria.
