The boys?
Yeah, maybe they want Big AL and Becky out of the house- but, although bumfuck Kentucky is cheap rentwise, I don't think they could stay in the house.
It could be true, but Becky has moved out of there before. I have a feeling the boys took Becky in because
she couldn't afford a place on her own.
I've tried checking rentals in their town, but other than a few rent-to-own, I found nothing. I can tell you this, if you have $1500,00 a month, you can rent-to-own a 4 bed, 4 bath house built in a huge acreage.
If I were to take a guess, I'd say rent around where they are is around $500 to $900/month for a 4 bedrooms place.
That said, if the boys wanted Amber out of their lives, they could move. I know it's a pain in the ass, and it's possible there aren't many rentals available, but it's a choice.
too lazy and insecure to break it off with Amber.
Lazy, yes. Becky might be insecure, but that isn't the reason she's with Amber. She's with Amber because Amber was the only creature who was willing to be her sugar mama.
No, I guess, Amber wants her own place, because it's the last chance to keep Becky in this strange semi-abusive relationship. Amber wants a full-time caretaker, someone who's just there for her and who has to depend on her for basic things like income or human interaction.
Yeah, it's part of her MO. She's been trying to isolate Becky from family and friends for a long time.
Becky won't be able to escape her (until the inevitable heart attack comes along), just because she didn't want to be single.
Again, Becky isn't with Amber because she was tired of being alone, or because she thinks Amber is as good as it gets. She's in it for the money.
Before someone argues that Amber doesn't make that much money, or that she only owns/buys crap. There are different levels of poverty.
Minimum wage in KY is $7.25/hour. Becky, as far as I know has no skills and judging by how fast she quit her job, wasn't the employee of the month ever. I suspect she worked as a janitor at the cabinet factory (think about it. Becky is flaccid, which tells me she wasn't doing any kind of heavy lifting like woodworkers would. She went to work on those horrid tees of hers, so probably wasn't working the front desk, and she isn't bright enough to work on accounting/billing).
It might be possible to live on $7.25/hour in KY, but one has to be creative and flexible. Becky isn't. Plus, she has some relatively expensive tastes - the aforementioned tees, comic books, DVDs and so on.
Becky found herself a blob who's willing to give her all the crap she coveted and allowed her to become a kept woman, just like her friend Eric. All for the "cheap" price of giving up her autonomy and self-respect.
