As a reference, at 5' 2", Amber would need to be 410 pounds for a BMI of 75, and an unreachable weight of 275 pounds for a BMI of 50. I wonder if Dr. Smith uses the limit of 75 for his patients. @I call shenanigans might be able to provide more information on this. We have to remember that Amber complained about how unfair BMI is. I am sure that came up during her conversation with the clinic.

All bariatric clinics are different. Upper weight limits can be imposed for many reasons. As I've already mentioned the available tools and equipment are just a few limiting factors. The increasing use of Da Vinci Robots has pretty much sorted the laprascopic issues, but these robots are incredibly expensive and not in all hospitals, nor can all surgeons actually use them. The skill and experience of the surgeon is also a limiting factor. Then there is the additional issue of having an anesthecist signing off on the fitness of the patient for surgery. Surgeons will tend to stick with the same anesthecist because they know each others terms and limitations. I have no idea what Dr Smith's limits or expectations are other than he did eventually operate on Tammy Slaton. I have no doubt whatsoever that's why Amber chose him rather than any of the other bariatric clinics in Lexington. From memory Tammy weighed 530lb when approved, and is shorter than Amber from what I can tell, which would put her BMI >75, and he does use a Da Vinci robot. Clearly he was able to perform that surgery for TLC, but what limits he imposes in his surgical practice might be totally different than we saw dramatised for TV.

The more she talks and tries to convince us how much better she is than before (and how much better she is than us), the more she shows just how fucked up she really is. This is probably why she keeps saying that she doesn't want to talk about weight loss anymore (because people magically seem to keep figuring out the truth, regardless of what lies she tells). Unfortunately, being a narc gives her a massive ego creates an uncontrollable urge to protect that ego and correct all of us 'despeckful pieces of shit' - with hilarious results.

My favourite comment is still Amber complaining about needing to order from Amazon because of the expense of an Uber:

The funniest part of all of this is that if you go back and listen to what she's been saying for the last month or so, it's NEVER been about getting healthier or losing weight. Everything has been about the surgery. I guess to prove to the haydurs that she CAN be approved. She's even seemed to hint with her last batch of excuses that she can't lose weight because her stomach is too big and takes a lot of food in order to not feel hungry - hence the need for the surgery. I still think this is just her ego talking. She has no intention of actually going through with the surgery, but she wants that on HER TERMS. Being denied something she's demanded is a hit to her ego. She wants to be approved, and then in the 11th hour she'll decide to 'advocate for herself' and drop the program. NO WAY would Amber voluntarily do anything that would permanently change her ability to eat as much of whatever she wants, whenever she wants.


Sabine Davis seems particularily offended and disgusted by Amber's revisiting of 'Shrimpgate', exactly 4 years later. She's done a video showing all of the previous videos and shitty things that Amber said leading up to that video, to counter Ambo's gaslighting of her new audience that it was the number of shrimp she ate that everyone was angry about:
