Is it just me; or are these things ridiculously overpriced?

You're talking about the same YouTube group that sells a grabbag of shitty pins for almost $30

True - but this seems somehow worse; because if you look at the cost of the prescription lenses, the buyer will be paying more than double the cost of the standard glasses (starting price is $249 with limited prescriptions and tint options). And they never specify what the warranty covers.

I agree with that one user - those frames are hideous (neon 'hot' pink and electric blue - really? The computer screen may not give you headaches but looking at those frames too long sure as Hell will).

Friend of mine was able to and let me download it, just in case this exact situation ended up happening.

Hopefully this embed'll work.
Discussing the Future of my Channel - YouTube.mp4

Someone from r/RantGrumps made notes as a tl;dw for a 50 minute vid. Seems like there's some very interesting shit brewing

I took notes while watching, so here's the summary. No Timestamps this time because it was live.

Don’t enjoy Game Grumps anymore and won’t do anymore remixs because heard bad stories about Arin

Took down some Game Grumps remixs also

Relaxalax who is now an ex-friend

Friends with Pelo so the drama hit hard

Multiple people have multiple bad stories about Arin

There was a OneyPlay and Game Grumps break up but it was a private conversation (a lot of money things apparently)

Arin is not the super kind person he says he is

Animators get paid about 1-2% of the revenue from animators.

1 Million views equals roughly 50-100k (Later said that was probably way off)

Arin has apparently has done illegal things when it comes to money (no further clarifaction as he apparently isn’t supposed to know that)

His old friends feel like he is corrupt

It makes it worse because he acts so perfect

He apricates what Arin has done for him and does not look back at past experiences with bitterness

Don’t attack Arin

He only knows Chris (is currently employed by him) and other newgrounders side of the story, but he doesn’t know Arin’s

I’m starting drama. Oops. I didn’t want to, but if it does good, because Arin needs to improve

I feel like it’s true because it’s not just one person and I’ve seen evidence

Only Arin has caused problems everyone else at the Game Grumps office seems cool

Video will be unlisted

RantGrumps will have a field day. He is not a personal fan.

This might come back to bite me, but open to hearing other sides.

The actual design of the frames themselves aren’t terrible. If they were cheaper and they had better color options they’d actually be somewhat nice.

Don't ever buy anything branded as being part of a specific hobby if you can find the same thing as just a generic item. This is proving true with my recent endeavors in fishkeeping.
Yeah, pretty much anything marketed for “gamers” is just a cheap Chinese knockoff of another, better quality item with an inflated price tag and buckets of cancer-inducing materials slapped on for good measure.

The thing I find the most strange is that the main tag line of those glasses are that they’re painted in Arin and Dan’s favorite colors. Like, really? You’re supposed to fork over enough money to feed an African village for a week because they just happen to be two mediocre let’s player’s favorite synthwave concert vomit shades of pink and blue? I mean I know the lovelies are obsessive manchildren that seemingly have far too much money burning a hole in their pockets, but still. I thought the smart strategy for most licensed merch was to offer a nice variety of different colors and shades with the company’s logo on it somewhere.

Why give your fans the colors they want when you can give them the ones you want though? ITS ALL ABOUT YOUUUUUUUUUU!

There are so many cool shades of pink, yet Arin had to go with the one that makes him look like a well-fed 6 year old with severe hormonal disorders.

How are they GG branded? Offering colors that weren't previously available? I always only saw them in yellow.

Not sure if it was covered in the thread here or not, but I think last year arin talked about some kind of weird self help retreat he went on. A person was asking him for advice on dealing with life and he mentioned the program, I looked at it and it was really expensive.

found it

here is the website for the hoffman process.

it cots 5K for a week retreat. Arin said he struggled with "self love" until he did this thing. Seems like what kinda broke his brain and made him start expecting everyone to be a yes-man for whatever he decided to do.

Arin: "Clickbait isn't bad unless you're lying to your audience!"

I don't know what bothers me the most, how shitty the title and thumbnail are or how it shows they're out of ideas. Then again, this is the same guy who insists on playing Wheel of Fortune and Nintendo Land for the 5th time to avoid criticism of his gameplay, so...

Aren't cults usually known for asking a great amount of money for introductory courses?

Cults usually do a basic “hook” for free, like Scientology personality testing, and then use things they say during that initial free or cheap program to attract impressionable people into the subsequent, more expensive things.

The Game Grumps logo isn't even in a spot where people would see it. Are they fucking serious with this?

This is one of those merch items that I hope takes forever to sell out (if it ever does). They honestly look to be made of the same material as 3D glasses you'd find in movie theaters. The Game Grumps logo and their autographs stamped on the side doesn't justify that ridiculously inflated price.
