Assassin's Creed thread

ACIII's biggest problem was the fact that the entire game felt like one massive tutorial. I remember spending the first 10 hours having my hand held. Even when you get to Connor you have to spend the first hour just being a fucking kid and learning how to stealth in the least efficient manner.
Honestly, you could say that about a lot of AssCreed games. To a point, they largely play themselves. I'm interested in exploring the old towns of that era and exploring around doing cool side mission shit. You even get a prototype for what would become 4's sailing mechanics, even tho there isn't that much you can do with it here. Either way, gameplay is much more interesting and the game has infinitely more soul than what Shadows and all the new RPG-lite games have.

We can hope that the failure of AC:S and Ubisoft's collapse will cause the rest of the industry to realise that DEI money are not worth it in the end. Oh, sure, the activist devs will screech but the bosses better know what is up and greenlight/fire accordingly.

DEI/USAID money has been going on for so long that activist devs ARE the bosses now.

Here's your final boss accompanied by diverse African music, followed by terrible dialogue, and then The End.

And here's Hasan Piker (more like Hasan the Terrorist-Supporting Beta Cuck) replying to the surrounding his perceived hypocrisy in taking the Assassin's Creed Shadows sponsorships.
Hasan in a nutshell: “Ya what’s the problem? I play video games…it’s a thing that every content creator does…I’m a fake, I’m a phony, and I shill for Assassin's Creed Shadows because death to white males, especially white male Asians, but except for me, I'm a good male ally.”
EDIT: Video uploading is being a dick again. Hold on...
EDIT 2: Okay here we go. Now it works.

The climax of the game is tribal jungle beats literally chanting “Ching Chong Ching Chang.”

What's the punchline here?

Ubisoft is going bankrupted and there is no doubt about it.

If this game doesn't break MINIMUM 150K, it's a total absolute game over.

Japan is overrated, games set during American Revolution are much harder to find. AssCreed 3 was infinitely more interesting to me than this shit, altho people didn't like that one for some reason. Then they followed it up with Black Flag and everybody loved that one, if I had to play any AssCreed game it would be either one of those or the Ezio games. This just looks an even more generic Ghost of Tsushima + an a-historical gay nigger.

At least as far as AC3 goes, the setting is not the issue. Overall, that game is missed potential personified: As as protagonist, Ezio left some quite large boots to fill, and even though Haytham seemed like a good contender, they pulled the old switcheroo and left us with the absolute plank of wood that is Connor. But hey, just like Ezio, it would have been nice to see him grow across a trilogy, coupled with the idea of having a father and a son in opposite sides of the Templar-Assassin conflict... both ideas that were fucking squandered by killing Haytham and focusing the other games into other people.

AC4 was massively overhyped as far as I am concerned. The story has massive issues (Pacing in particular is fucking horrible) and they relied way too much on the sailing mechanics.

Going back to the dumpster fire of Shadows, I can only believe than the Nobunaga's sister thing has to be introduced at the behest of Tencent. It's impossible to be this fucking retarded by accident.

Jesus, that's fucking grim for Ubislop. I was thinking that the average goycattle would consoom as they always do. Should be said that 150k is still abysmal for the production of this game. 150k is great if you're a middle market company like Warhorse or Paradox. If you're a AAA company with a reputation of having bloated production, anything less than 500k on Steam should be considered a flop.

There is ps5, Xbox and Ubisoft+

Still, not cracking 100k on a platform like steam is total death.

It had the worst pacing out of the entire series. They open it up with a tutorial to how to play the game and then start off in a theater assassinating someone with zero context of anyone involved, which while it was cool, it was very brief and you were immediately put on a boat to the New World. That boat ride was not some brief thing either, so you spend the first hour or two unable to parkour around a city. So you're finally in the new world and you do all sorts of errands and a few short missions with Haytham setting up the Order. Then you have a whole sequence of meeting Connor's mom and helping her so Connor can even be born. Hey, at least you get to play as Connor now but wait, he's a fucking child and you're just running in trees and getting tutorials for hunting animals. Now that he's older, it should be assassin time now? Nope, enjoy your apprenticeship as Achilles trains you as you're still a teenager. Oh hey, here's another tutorial for some navy combat side content that you need to get involved in to progress the story.

After all that and several not-Assassin modern day missions with Desmond, you're finally wearing your robes and actually doing shit at the halfway point of the game. At least you get to assassinate the people you recruited with Haytham, the far more entertaining character, and you'll get more insight to those characters, right? Nope, most of them have very little writing aside from Charles Lee and Haytham himself. A lot of them just appear as quickly as they die while Connor is shoehorned into every single notable conflict of the American Revolution, at one point even leading troops at Lexington and Concord. Then after everything, Connor is given the "lol your tribe is fucked anyways, go sulk faggot" ending while Desmond is killed off, despite players expecting a modern day Assassin's Creed involving him at some point. It doesn't help that this game was following up Ezio, one of the most entertaining and charismatic video game protagonists of the past 20 years that had an entire trilogy dedicated to developing his character. It was made even worse by giving the players Haytham, who was a charismatic and interesting character, and then swapping it with Connor, the solemn and often sulking protagonist that was getting screwed over the entire game. Edward was sulking and getting fucked over his entire game but at least he was entertaining.

The supply of Xbox and PS5s is the same as it was with Veilguard, and I refuse to believe that Ubisoft+ has more users than EA Play. I at least know couple of people that have EA, not a single one has Ubisoft+. The fact that it's doing worse than Troonguard is a fucking disaster. At least the French can take consolation that they have a proud history of waving the white flag before they spread their cheeks for the Chinese.
