What do "leaks" even mean in this context? You'd assume that with a manga as big and as widely distributed as AoT, untranslated raws would be available pretty much as soon as it drops in Japan because someone would've uploaded them. Why does it seem like only certain people have access to it if it's already been released in Japan?

I have no idea if true , but Gabi getting Titanized and then Reiner being forced to kill her is fucking hilarious. Holy fucking shit Isayama loathes the character on a pathological level. And then for all the Pure Titans being turned back (probably by Eren) going 'Whoops too late, you were too fast fag lol'. How the fuck does he not just fucking strap forty bombs to himself and take himself on a nice ride in the sky. Jesus christ.
I want this to be true, because his hatred of Reiner is just like...I've never fucking seen a writer hate someone so much before.
I mean, the ending could be that they 'kill' Eren, but it turns out he was back on Paradis all along. Maybe he was tired of the whole thing and the only way out was to make the Paradis scouts heroes. So he takes over the founder, goes on this mindless rampage and Paradis and Marely unite to kill him. The destruction Marley suffered and the relief brought by Paradis and the so-called Devils would unite the two and war would no longer be inevitable. He realized if he did it for real he'd just basically kill everyone and that wasn't something he wanted. So he just decides to cripple the world, make Paradis and Marley into heroes, and avoid an inevitable war. With him faking his own death and living out the rest of his years in peace. Which is why he was so terrible to his friends, because he knows that he will never be able to see them again because they'd try to stop him. And since he's in love with Historia, he wants Mikasa to be free of him.
Eren wanted to fake his death and make them 'win', to realize Paradis wasn't a threat and that he was fully dead. No one would chase him around anymore. He'd just fuck off and retire with Historia to some mountain forest or some shit. But his plan gets ruined because they all get Titanized and Eren is rushing through Paths to try to reverse the whole thing, but its all too late and they're all fucking dead.
That's your 'Mist' ending right there too. Though Reiner being the one to kill all the Cringe Avengers and then learn it was all some ploy by Eren and that he had intended none of them to die is fucking hilarious though.
I mean, its really a very phyrric victory for Eren, because he inadvertently killed all his friends when he wanted to make them into heroes. Yeah, sure, he gets to live, but he never intended this to happen. So I guess you could call that Eren...winning? I mean, not really. Like maybe Armin and Mikasa are the only two alive, and the 'see you later Eren' was Mikasa actually finding out his plan, that he's alive and never hated her. There we see his reasoning and he went through PATHS a thousand times and it always was MAD between the world and Paradis. This was the only way he could find peace. He tried to set it up so all his friends would survive, but he fails even though the overall mission succeeds. But now knowing that, they can never see each other again, or the peace would be ruined. The entire Earth would blame Paradis and Eren would be hunted and eventually forced to kill everyone, which he didn't actually want to do. That's why after they have their heart to heart, she says 'See you later Eren', in vain hope that they'll somehow meet again in the future.
His friends deaths stem from his own insecurities and wanting to spare them pain, but causing it to them instead. Its kind of fucking miserable, because nobody gets a happy ending. Yeah, sure, there's no more Titan threat, Eren, Armin and Mikasa are alive but all their friends are dead. Eren has to be in hiding with Historia for the rest of his life. Armin never fully understands what Eren was trying to accomplish, and hates him for the rest of his life. Mikasa can no longer see Eren, even though they've reconciled, so she'll have to live with the weight of this knowledge. Eren himself bears the burden of killing many innocents as well as his friends, and there is no relief in the peace he created. His only salve at the end of the story is his child, to which he says 'You are Free'.
Anyway, that's how I'd write it. Make it more than an AVENGERS ASSEMBLE and flesh Kaiju duel. Give it more weight and meaning, making it VERY VERY clear Eren saw every possible future and this was the only thing he could do. And while he could see the peace he'd create, through the mist, he couldn't see that he'd kill all of his friends inadvertently in the process of it.
I think that's the best possible ending to the current shit pile. Eren...uh, wins, I guess, if you could call Thomas Jane killing his entire family at the end of 'The Mist' winning. Normies get their peaceful, yet sad end. Erenfags get the Eren win. Levi is still alive, so the normies are happy he can fuck off an open a tea shop or some shit. Gabi's dead, so everyone's happy. Eren-Historia shippers get what they want. Reiner's life is in complete fucking shambles still because lol, holy shit. How have you not put a gun in your mouth yet bro. So Isayama is happy because he gets to psychologically demolish fucking Reiner and ruin what remains of his life.

You know, you say he hates Reiner, and that is definitely true, but I'm starting to think he also hates Mikasa because look at how much shit he gives her.
Just look at what's happened to her this arc, and I just realized that if the leaks are real, and ErenxHistoria is the endgame that she can't even fall back on Jean because he gets titanized and fucking dies. All her friends, and loved ones are dead, or going to die very soon, and she's just gonna be stuck with Levi, and her lifelong crush's baby momma for the rest of her life.

Yeah, I mean, he either really dislikes her, but I just think he had no fucking idea what to do with her and then whoops, all of a sudden the manga's ending. But if you think about the Mist ending, Armin, Eren and Mikasa are all fucking misreable. Eren killed thousands, killed his friends which he NEVER wanted to do, has to run and hide forever and can never see either Armin or Mikasa. He will forever be known as a complete inhuman monster even though the future never left him a choice. Armin is fucking miserable because he never gets to understand why Eren did what he did and he remains bitter and angry at him, even though he saved the world. He suffers with seeing his life-long friends die. Mikasa suffers because she can never be with Eren, she's burdened with the absolute truth of his actions and his love for Historia. She can never see him again or interact with him. She can never get to know his son. And she has to bear the burden of that knowledge that Eren will be hated forever, even though he saved the world.
Reiner is going to suffer for murdering Gabi and his comrades and all the shit that he went through.
Levi is going to suffer for the rest of his life because of his injuries and regret never just instantly killing Eren and Zeke.
So yeah, pretty much everyone at the end of AoT:

Sometimes we get some leaked panels and plot points before the official release of the manga in Japan. Like with the previous chapter, some of them were legit and usually tied to some trusted leaker nickname. The leaks are usually vague and there's just couple panels leaked. I don't personally know the inner workings, since this is the first manga that I've even sought the leaks for, but there's at least two possibilities I can think of:
-Purposeful leaks to promote the manga
-Some distributor getting them early (remember Harry Potter spoiler wars?) and some employee leaking just little enough to not cause an investigation
But those are just my guesses on the matter.

So AoT is 100% ending on April 9th. This is it folks, the penultimate chapter is coming very soon (or spoilers for it). So will it end like shit or will Isayama go for 'The Mist' Ending, which is still bad, but would probably be the best part after the basement?

Reading that line, I came up with kind of a wacky theory. We've never been properly introduced to the possible Eren x Historia romance. But if it actually is the case and Historia's child is Eren's. You can combine that with the timeloop theory:
Remember when Eren touched Historia and Eren received some memories? Initially it's shown that just Eren reacts, but Historia's demeanor changes slightly. That might just be reaction to Eren's expression, but it might be more too. Aren't they a bit closer after this scene, Historia might also know what's going to happen?

I hope it ends like Death Note where Eren just loses right the fuck out of nowhere due to some absolute bullshit and he just starts having a complete fucking mental breakdown.
Either that, or Isayama just decides to throw what little logic is left out the window, and just has Carla float down from Cripple Heaven so she can start beating Eren with a shoe.
Or Levi just dies.

Its possible. Though anything goes at this point and he's never used Historia recently. Like many characters he doesn't know what to do with, she's stuck in a corner right now.
The amount of screaming that would cause would be hilarious. I mean, if Eren is true going genocide I predict he loses anyway and Mikasa raises his kid or some stupid bullshit. Just have balls and make it a miserable fucking ending for every character like you planned.
But /a/ is fucking EXPLODING right now.
There's fake spoilers, real spoilers, plausible things....like one leak has @FaramirG being right in that Reiner lets Gabi eat him. The same leak has fucking Mikasa day dreaming about living with Eren in a cabin, dreaming of a life with him. She tries to get to Eren in the big Titan, Ymir stops her and Eren goes full Attack Titan, with Mikasa fighting Eren, using her 3D Maneuver Gear vs. his Attack Titan. There's Historia giving birth and just all sorts of insane shit, like Eren putting the rumbling back on. Pretty much all of it terrible.
The worst part is that if there is an epilogue, it will be very short, because the battle is still going on. It should end this chapter. Also there are a still a metric fuckton of problems and plot holes that will probably never be patched. He should have just went full on Mist mode and just ended it that way. Of course, I like what I wrote more, but more flesh Kaiju combat, with Mikasa fighting Eren...its so fucking meh and forced. If its true that is. Because all sorts of shit is being flung around. Over a fraction of a panel leak.
I imagine normies thinking Mikasa fighting Eren is something brilliant "BEFCAUSE IT BRINGS EVERYTHING TOGETHER" yeah, ok, so what futures did Eren see? Why did Eren suddenly go fully retarded genocide? For normies, this is some brilliant literary coup. For me, its trash that doesn't make any fucking sense. Unless ymir is mind controlling Eren or some bullshit.
I think he should just go full Jojo Part 6 and just magically fucking retcon the whole fucking thing. Because seriously, if that's the route he's going, there's no fucking saving this.

I mean, I can see him totally avoiding the question of who Historia's baby dad is and just make Eren use PATHS to go back to the cabin in the woods and the kid he's holding is his and Mikasa's And just fuck over EVERYONE and drive everyone crazy with that ending.
