So is it finally over? Attack on Titan: the last season: the final movie: the final cucking?
Apparently that follow up chapter is just a prequel one-shot so I think Isayama is ready to move on. Depending on how his subsequent work fares he may make Attack on Titan his Evangelion and endlessly milk it for new content. But that's at least a few years down the road.

There have been a few really prolific and diverse mangaka. But usually they're one-hit-wonders at best. They usually move on to do new projects for a decade or two, fail, and then come crawling back to the thing that made them.

Toriyama is a two-hit wonder (Dr. Slump and Dragon Ball). That's better than most, I would say. I like that his lesser-known works like Sand Land are finally getting animated.
I mean as an artist he’s fucking insanely successful. Dragon Quest and an assload of video games along with DB and Dr Slump using his style has ensured literal world wide acknowledgement of him as ah artist.

Yes. He's hit a level of fame and fortune where he doesn't have to do the grind of manga serialization unless he really wants to. And I don't blame him for sticking to small projects now. It's better than dying of karoshi.

Sounds like Akira Toriyama is the exception that proves the rule.
Dragon Ball was both insanely successful and lends itself perfectly to indefinite continuation. It's not trying to break any mold or tell a particularly compelling story, it's just entertaining action. Toriyama , unlike Isayama, isn't forgoing some pretense of artistic integrity by making more content for it. No real reason for him not to let the money printer run.

You can't just say it's irrelevant and make it so.
No, it is irrelevant. Whether or not Isayama was thinking about the full implications of what Eren put into motion, its the natural result of what he was doing.

We don't have giant monsters so we can't possibly predict with 100% accuracy to what degree they'd effect the Earth.
That part we don't have to speculate. We saw it. We saw the effect the Rumbling had on the Earth. Everything in the way was flattened into a fine dust and glassed into desert. The oceans were literally boiling as the Titans moved through them. This is all stuff we saw. Nothing would have survived that because the Rumbling was designed to wipe out entire continents. Its the only way it would have wiped humanity.

That looks and sounds like a dude to me,
You know women can have husky voices, right?

Okay, show me the panels and explain how exactly it proves you're right then.

If he wiped out 80% then that should have been enough damage to the Earth to render it uninhabitable by your logic, otherwise you're suggesting that 20% undestroyed was enough to have no lasting impact on humans whatsoever, as they were thriving. So how much would be the point where it's too much and then everyone's extinct? 85%? You seem to know exactly how much Titans damage the ecosystem so I'm curious how close to doomsday they got.

You're basically anime Greta Thunberg right now.

You know women can have husky voices, right?
That "husky", and look like men too? I sure feel bad for xer her then :story:

Don't get me wrong, either way it's a nice enough song, and I think the animation is cute (even if it honestly feels cheap to try to shoehorn a happy ending in, I'd rather it double down and show Eren and Armin in hell lol).

Speaking of which, I guess I may as well link to the opening and ending animations here since I don't think anyone has yet:

Didn’t the Titans just destroy like half of Marley? It’d be ecologically devastating, but it’s just creating a Gobi Desert. Wasn’t it basically just a mile long bunch of Colossal Titans marching in a straight line with Eren?
