Ymir is a loli? She seems like an adult. Anyway, I think she had some level of influence over him or something, it seemed to be implied anyway.

I seem to remember child versions of Eren & Ymir talking to Eren's friends in the Paths and he was explaining his plan or something, then it did a close-up shot of Eren's eyes and you could see Ymir reflected in them.

I don't remember that in the manga so it may have been a change for the anime, maybe to better foreshadow his reasons and to suggest he's not in complete control. It would help explain why his plan was so retarded.

I hate that we're glossing over the fact that at least in the dub, Armin confirmed Mikasa is going to get horse'd. Either that, or he himself was going to fuck her. Whichever at this point.

On the topic of shipping, I was just looking through the comments on the final ending song for AoT, and found a funny shipper war there.

Apparently one severely autistic Jean/Mikasa fan has been spamming under a bunch of the comments for a while, seething that people don't agree with him.

Another (possibly schizophrenic) user who's a Eren/Mikasa fan is going on about some weird symbolism regarding flowers and bandages that I've never heard of in an impressive display of cope. I think I saw him or another user also suggest 4 roses means something, and other stuff, which made me think of this:

Hilariously, not even the majority of redditors like this shit, and when one of the team's members posted the picture to one of the main AoT subreddits, they immediately had to do damage control because of all the people calling out this shit for what it really is.

Notably, they try to downplay, and discredit all the leaks that happened, and all the bullshit former members did, but inadvertently just end up confirming all the shit we already knew, and show that the new team is just shitty as the old one.

I don't remember Eren nor Historia having any hint of romantic interest in each other, so that entire story seems dumb even by fanfic standards. Usually there's some kind of logic behind that stuff in the "good" ones, with at least one of the characters having shown some degree of interest in the other.

It's especially stupid if Eren kills Mikasa to be with Historia, it's sort of laughably bad actually.

What's even worse is that scenes that they misconstrue as being romantic are actually anything but. They're either just them being friends, or Eren just straight-up threatening her.

I guess the Japanese don't care so much about these types of situations because of the doujinshi culture. From that industry of glorified Fanfics, one or another recognized artist has come out of there thanks to their fanmade extra chapter or alternative ending
