I agree but with some points of contention. Taking a plea deal would've more likely ended up in one of those "indecency with child" charges you keep seeing. His charge is Rape Fourth Degree Sexual Intercourse Victim Less Than 18 Years Old, and the victim is 1-11 years old. Assuming everything went normally in court, this crazy charge might've been pleading down from doing hard time.
