Sensei is the player self-insert; they aren't "implied to be a guy" at all. The game goes out of its way to refer to Sensei in a gender-neutral way, and the anime isn't canonical to your particular game. If Sensei were actually canonically male, there would be no reason to hide it behind mere implications.

They try to pull that shit but I remember several moments where the MC is referred to as a guy. Chances are the gender-neutral shit is being pushed by someone on the inside but there's some resistance. Same thing happens with Nikke. Dunno japanese to compare but it might very well be a localization issue.

There are no moments like that; you're either misremembering or lying. In fact, during one of Akane's relationship stories, you basically pick Sensei's gender as a dialogue option. Again, Sensei is the player self-insert; you're supposed to pick your own gender.

Just finished the tutorial. I thought it was ok but i can already see the predatory gatcha system for what is (10 euro for a normal ticket). It just looks time consuming so i wont spend to much time with it.

Who i got on my first roll.

Yeah the prices for gems are not very enticing are they? On the other hand there's plenty of gem rewards so I find it quite F2P-friendly, and story doesn't require you to use your own units (aside from a couple checkpoints, nothing difficult tho).

The Gacha system isn't actually that predatory since doing pretty much anything rewards you with plenty of Pyro. I rolled for every character I wanted (except s. Hanako, still waiting for a rerun banner), and still have about 40K Pyro left. Volume F basically showers you in Pyroxenes, and there are other ways to get characters than just the Gacha. Freebies aside, every special event rewards you with some sort of currency you can use to get a character, just look at how many shops there are!

Shun is quite useful with her instant skill points at the start of every battle, and tsubaki tanks a lot with her ignoring damage thing

it's very f2p-friendly all things considered
but as usual, in the hardest difficulties if you wanna get the torment platinum ranks you either paypig and/or pray that you get the specific meta girls on limited banners
Not that it matters a lot, besides showing off your whale certificate
