One thing I wanna ask all of you guys is what drew you to BA in the first place?
I got burned out of playing my usual games of RTS (Crusader Kings III, Stellaris) / CRPGs (Baldurs Gate, Pathfinder, Fallout 1&2, ect), and open world first person RPGs (Morrowind, Cyberpunk 2077, ect) and then Umamasume (The Horse Gatcha game) got really popular on twitter, and I started getting recommended Blue Archive tweets on twitter... Saw that it had finally been approved on Steam and I said "Eh, why not." and downloaded it, played it a bit, but my cellphone was too shit to play it.

Then when I tried to upgrade my laptop to a new one Amazon was giving me way way way too hard of a time (rejecting purchases I had the $ for) so I said "Fuck it" and bought a new phone instead... And now I play it often.

One thing I wanna ask all of you guys is what drew you to BA in the first place? My reason is a bit too sentimental and faggy so I'll put it in a spoiler.
"Who is this bunny gyaru and bunny negress that keeps getting railed on my twitter timeline?"

Somewhat of a joke, but the real excuse is that I just want to find a gacha to play. I did follow on the global release news because its already popular before but I only played around... I think the hatsune miku collab? I legit forgot (except the fact that I dont have Miku)

Either way, I only really get invested during the release of the Arius girls (Saori in particular but I like them all. Still no Misaki tho) and also Mika as well to stick around, even when I took some time skipping banners or logins because of lack of interest or focusing on other gachas.

mostly to find something to have a new source of white noise to play with after girls frontline went in the shitter and seeing zesty jesus play it gave me a few ideas, had confired that it wasn't a an absolute blight to play thro and i was in, simple as that

though the hard part of playing this game is telling people that are aware of the terminal faggotry of the ""community"" (and the devs/official artists) of this game that you don't want to fuck any of the characters and you just find them cute and/or endearing for whichever reason, case in point

You joke but the bunny girl event quite literally saved the game from dying.

I personally have the impression that one of the core themes of Blue Archive is simply to never give up. One stand-out moment is when they're planning to fly the Ark-ship to the floating Ark-fortress and calculations say they only have a 3% chance of successfully passing through the quantum bullshit forcefield. Everyone agrees to take that chance, reasoning that the alternative is more or less to lay down and wait until they all die from literal end of the world.
In the midst of "It's so over" , I found there was, within me, an invincible "We are so back".- Sensei.

Cute girls doing cute things. With guns. What is there not to love?

Did not expect to grow so attached to some of the characters and story though. That was a surprise.

My take about Karin is that she's NOT black, despite what western twitter tourists and "hood weeb" (niglet teens) insist.
My evidence: Her best friend is Asuna, a Gyaru, she got on really well with Gehenna's pair of Gyarus (Erika and that other one) in Volume 2 Chapter 2, Karin, despite sounding western, is actually a japanese name unrelated to the western "Karen / Karin".
My theory is that she's also a Gyaru, doing the "dark tan" look they do.

Oh yeah and another reason my attention got caught by Blue Archive was a certain website admin having a months long meltdown about it, calling players of the game pedophiles only to cry about "Muh context, grooming a girl was okay when I did it" when people brought up his past.

After starting to play Genshin Impact (since its release well not really i waited like 3days then started playing) i got interested in gacha games and what they have to offer since i got bored of normal games then i (probably) stumbled upon it on /vg/ earliest evidence that i have when i started to play the game is in 2022 biggest thing that drew me to it was the setting its shame there are no games like it. (in october '24 i quit the game but i came back when Seia came or little before that or a lot before that idk the entire thing is a blur honestly)

>mfw Blue Archive CDN hijacker was Dutch

I started playing Blue Archive because I keep seeing girls with halos holding guns and I was wondering what it was about

Oh and Asuna + Karin temporarily controlling my twitter feed even though I didn't interact with any of it, guess they were very popular back then

Unless stated otherwise, all characters are either Japanese, Korean or Chinese when to comes to their comics, animation, and games. Negroid characters will usually have facial characteristics singlely them out as such.

Question, is the event gifts and cafe furniture worth the grind? Already got all upgrade materials.
The gifts are 100% worth it
The furniture is debatable, they aren't any different from any other furniture for gameplay purposes but if you like either of the girls you can just pick up her respective furniture, not everything has to be for the grind, some things are for fun and sovl

If you just treat the Cafe as Credits/AP printer, you will be bottlenecked by having to clear increasingly higher-level missions for those upgrade cores, rather than the amount of furniture. Assuming that "special interaction furniture" does indeed increase the chance that a Student appears in the cafe, the MinMax choice would be to load up your cafe with stuff that your primarily utilized combatants like.
Aside from the collection/completionism aspect, the practical impact of the event furniture seems to be that they attract one of the event characters to the Cafe. This allows you to engage with one of the more sus ways of increasing your Students' stats - raising your "Relationship" rank with them.
Examples:
Part-timer Juri = Pancake Tea Table
Casual Sena = Medicine Organizer White Table
Part-timer Sumire = Assisted Pull-up Machine
Rei = Millenium Batting Machine
