@Mr Precursor mentioned this (it wont let me reply to or quote anything) and it reminded me Bob's opinion on FPSes as a whole being that "we've perfected run and shoot", and "theyre not artistically viable" are so retarded given that 1) Halo 2 was one of the games that started being treated like a blockbuster movie and with professional VA talent gave the industry some legitimacy, and 2) Bob doesn't understand just how different FPSes are, they are less of a genre and more of a sub-medium. you have GoldenEye style arcade FPSes which have little to no reload times and focus on fast-paced action, you have the Halo style of methodical sandbox FPSes revolving around problem solving and inventory management, you have Doom Clone/"boomer shooters" which are more about puzzle solving and movement than pure aiming skill, etc.
I find Bob's politisperging exhausting because of his hypocritical "shitlib socialist" views, where he will argue for socialism but also clearly hates the people who would benefit from it, supports it in areas where it would BENEFIT the upper classes and then will vote blue no matter who even if it ends with you voting for a guy who wants to up police funding, strengthening the border and bombing brown kids so long as the missiles have a trans rights sticker. However, what's fascinating about Bob is that's not his strength as a creator: his strength is as a pop culture/vidya critic, and he sucks at that too! my favorite old Bob quote is when he suggests an ignorance on the part of the audience for GTA San Andreas: that the setting of 90s inner-city LA was made to pander to 14 year old white kids that enjoy that aesthetic, whereas he preferred the Miami Vice of the previous game. however, why is that a bad thing to him? he is just admitting that he's ignorant and uninterested in an aspect of working class black culture and history of that time and that he looks down on white kids for... not being racist and thinking black people are cool?
I discussed this with a friend recently but the only thing that Bob has going for him is that the format of his work - five minute highly compressed videos reviewing and going over the history of comics, tv, movies, with a topical spin - is legitimately great. when i used to watch him he introduced me to a lot of great stuff, for example the Critic. the actual guy and his opinions are worthless

I would say part of the reason for the dramatic lifespan differences in the south is diet. Living in that area for my early childhood, it's a lot of fattening foods, grain and starches and sugar. Not much balance. Also smoking is rampant. As for land not voting, lol, why should my state get no votes but yours get all of them? What if YOU lived in a low population state Blob?
