I'm no monster, I've got empathy for the girl for being put in this situation, but as I said before, this is 100% on the parents and nobody else. You bought a goat, had your daughter help raise it, then took it to an auction to have it sold off for meat because it's livestock. You didn't properly explain to her what was going to happen to it and help her understand that no, even though you helped raise it, it's not a pet, it's food. Then when she flipped out because you didn't do your job as parents, you resorted to stealing it in a desperation move, putting you in potential legal trouble. And you still lost the goat anyway.Nutters still won't let go of the goat, and I bet they won't long after the girl has got over it.
And each day, new people are exposed to Bobby's brilliance.
No one was killing the goat to teach the girl a lesson; the goat was killed for food. If the process incidentally taught the girl a lesson, that's an additional good thing, but the principal good thing that resulted from its slaughter was fresh, delicious mutton.
This is just flat-out bad parenting. Might have been someone in this thread, maybe another, but someone commented that it sounded like newbies to the area deciding to buy a goat because it sounded like a fun thing for their daughter to do, and then they weren't prepared to handle everything that goes along with raising livestock. The fair and the authorities could have potentially handled things better, but I lay all blame at the parents' feet.

Are you going to build a wall along the southern border? Because guess what the cartels in Mexico are going to switch to the second guns are illegal in the USA. Are you going to start restricting entry into the nation? Because part of the fun of guns is that they can be disassembled into innocuous looking pieces. Why smuggle a whole gun when you can have a few dozen folks smuggle in pieces of several guns you can put together later? So are you prepared to throw out every refugee with a sob story who happens to have a bit too much metal on them? Are you prepared to become an even bigger immigration hawk than Trump?
And what about Ukraine? You know why the American military industrial complex is making bank right now? Because Europeans banned guns long ago so their weapon manufacturing capabilities are atrophied, designed mostly for large arms with long lead times. Because you know if nobody's buying your product, you stop making it and go out of business. So tell me, are you ready and willing to hand Ukraine over to Russia gift-wrapped now that you've neutered any ability of the west to supply them with arms?

God help me, I dreamed of moviebob last night. In this insane dream he showed up uninvited at the (inaccurate to reality) house I was in, and got annoyed because there wasn't any (leftover - dinner was long over) dessert. As a rule IRL we don't generally have dessert unless it's a special occasion, which this most certainly was not. Then he walked in on me into what was presumably my room while I was naked and I had to quickly cover up with a T-shirt. But I was fat and he did not have sex with me (nor did I want that lol). Then later on I was talking to someone else about what a retard he is, after he left.
And we've all seen where Britain's lame attempt to ban points on knives went since guns are almost completely banned. Stabbings are becoming rampant in heavily-gun-controlled Canada, too. I dunno about you but I'd rather be shot dead instantly than stabbed to death.
Our leaf Liberals are so exceptional, they think that Bill C-21, which is about GUNS, is going to affect in any way crimes committed with KNIVES.
Bob's probably immune to stabbing, though, with all those rolls of fat they'd never hit an artery.
Not only that, they'd have to ban every metal lathe in the country.
