Body Found in Wyoming Park ‘Consistent With the Description' of Gabby Petito - FBI confirmed - Brian Laundrie still missing, FBI searched his home

Whatever you think of this case it's pretty retarded from those people to set camp in front of that house.
Don't they have anything better to do with their time?

Vigilante justice for retards: those people may or may not have provided their son with help, i can't actually do anything usefull so i will whine into a megaphone all day.
Yeah, I genuinely can't fucking blame that one neighbor of theirs for going out there and telling them off. He ended up catching a couple misdemeanors for it in the end but it would almost be worth it. Hell, it's bad enough having a retard neighbor who throws their dog outside all hours of the day/night and you have to listen to it bark all day, let alone some chucklefuck marching around outside with a megaphone.

Homeboy would be finding out how that megaphone sounds coming out of his ass and I'd probably catch a case but it would almost be worth it. Fucking noise ordinances really need more teeth now that we're all eternally living ontop of eachother in most hoods.

I don't see what significance marrying another widow in his situation has, besides that they're both widows..? This guy has divorced and remarried in the same year, twice, out of his six wives.

Also, he married Beth (in a hotel, which is fine, but it's not like they had some huge wedding already planned) one day after his 23 year old daughter died in a car accident. I don't think he's capable of feeling grief.

He also looked like a huge douchebag going up to Brian's parents front door - that was cringey af.

It's kinda bizarre that he's still smoking too, since Beth died from throat cancer after being a lifelong smoker. Just kinda strange.
This isn't a hill I wanna die on, I don't care about the guy either way, I got this info off wikipedia. I could be saying this about anyone, man or woman.
Didn't know that about the marriage to Beth. Yeah, that's a little on the fucked up side. I can't imagine any world in which he didn't have that information, and yet chose to do the wedding (which was likely just some "I dos" with catering) regardless. Then again, Beth went through with it too. Kind of fucked up on all ends.

As for smoking, I personally watched my grandmother succumb to that- she smoked even after they put her on oxygen full time. When you've got 50+ years of regular use, you tend to just say "fuck it" and keep going despite knowing what it's doing to you.

I don't really want to promote this but I found it hilarious. Look at that price too, mm mmm mmm.

I just wanted to let you know that after reading this post a vein in my forehead started throbbing and now my right eye is twitching.

That's not even a joke.

Not sure if joke follows...

"New on Lifetime Network, everyone's buzzing about the new crime series, "Let it Bee" with your hosts, the Gabby-Goos"

So the Carlton Nature Reserve is only about 11 miles top to bottom at its center bulk.

He can easily hike 12-16 miles per day if he has food. He walked in, I assume, fully stocked. 20 miles per day if he pushes it for short spurts in easy terrain. And this isn't as the crow files.

He could have easily walked out of that preserve that day.

Plenty of sea side boats & docks to the west. Not much in the way of wooded forests outside of the reserve to use for cover.

The areas for traveling outside of the reserve are surrounded by suburbs, farmland and small villages.

If he wanted to travel away by land his best bet would be to stick to the rivers & creeks as those areas tend to retain wooded cover.

For him to be able to safely travel out of the area, he would need to maintain a charged cellphone (solar) to get maps. That means he will have to leave his solar charger out somewhere in sunlight during the day.

Otherwise he is trying to pass by in populated areas where he can be seen. Hopefully going hobo chic. But he at most as a single extra change of clothes.

He will probably need to go dumpster diving at grocery stores & restaurants for food. Sure he can fish. If he stays in one place he can try and trap squirrels. But that requires cooking & fires. Not a safe bet for him. Outside of the reserve, he doesn't have much wooded cover. He may have to eat raw. And even from that, he will get insufficient calories.

He would mostly have to travel at night outside of the nature preserve.

Now let's look at the alternative of stealing a boat. His best bet would be a sail boat. No need to refuel. Small covered would be good. Best chance of pulling that off would be in a poorly populated coastline area.

But even then, he wouldn't have the water for the trip to Mexico or Belize. So he would have to go up the coastline for a fresh water inlet to get drinking water. As far as food goes, he could kind of starve and get some calories from fishing on a temporary basis.

He really need to do a full runner once he entered into the nature preserve for his best bet to get out.

Having a family friend pick him up and get him out is risky business as the more people involved, the greater the chance of someone squealing. The best way to keep a secret is not to tell anyone. But it really would have helped to get him out of Florida or out of the US quickly.

If I had the time and inclination I would be tempted to edit Brian into everything I could get my hands on. Crowd scenes, historical photos, hell maybe even edit him into video. Take a clip of searchers looking for him and have him peeking up out of a bush right behind them. News anchor reporting on the case? Have Brian walk into the shot and back out again or something.

My outdoor plans for today have been thwarted by weather so now I'm being cranky on the innernets.

K9 search expert: Promising clues emerging in hunt for Brian Laundrie

Dog the Bounty Hunter may be sniffing in the right place, a Florida search and rescue expert says.
Michael Hadsell, president of Peace River K9 Search and Rescue, was among the searchers who joined the former reality star’s hunt for fugitive Brian Laundrie in Fort De Soto Park, where the Laundrie family camped in early September after Brian returned from a cross-country road tip without his fiancee, Gabby Petito.

“I wasn’t a big believer in the Fort De Soto when it first started,” Hadsell, who brought his K9 team to help in the search, told WSNN-TV News. “But after working out there, yesterday, I’m like, ‘Wow, we may be really into something.’

Petito’s body was found in a Wyoming campground on Sept, 19, five days after Laundrie, who remains the sole person of interest in the case, vanished from his parents’ home in North Port, Florida. The massive FBI-led manhunt for Laundrie has focused mainly on a park closer to his home, where his parents say he went for a hike. The hunt for Laundrie has so far been unsuccessful, but officials are also eyeing Fort De Soto.

Hadsell told the station they found signs Brian Laundrie may be dodging authorities by kayaking around the Florida park, a 1,136-acre oasis made up of five interconnected islands at the mouth of Tampa Bay.
“We did find some campsites, we did find some evidence of kayaks near the campsites so it is possible that Brian’s out there,” Hadsell said.

The K9 team had to rely on its experience of nearly 200 search and rescue missions because the Laundrie family did not supply anything with Brian’s scent on it, Hadsell said.
“The parents as you know are being uncooperative, so we don’t have any sent articles or anything from Brian to be able to use it as a target odor for our dogs to work on,” Hadsell said. “So, we do what we call, ‘general human scent.’

The dogs are trained to work on water from a boat, he explained.
“And we can circle these smaller islands, if there is any human odor being produced from the island, the dogs will alert, and then we’ll send teams to go check it out.”
The FBI’s search of the Carlton Reserve, a 25,000-acre, alligator-infested nature preserve near the Laundrie’s North Port home continues, though it has been scaled back.

Laundrie’s family has insisted they don’t know where he is.
“The speculation by the public and some in the press that the parents assisted Brian in leaving the family home or in avoiding arrest on a warrant that was issued after Brian had already been missing for several days is just wrong.” their attorney, Steven Bertolino, said in a statement earlier in the week.
The length of time Laundrie has been missing is complicating the search as are the conditions in the wild areas Laundrie’s believed to be hiding
------------------------------------
The media reporting on this story has been an absolute trash fire of grift and wishful thinking. So in summation, the evidence this K9 guy presents in support of his theory is the fact that there is suspected kayaking going on and his dogs detect "general human scent" in a popular tourist area. That's literally it, there might be people in the area kayaking so ergo Brian Laundrie is probably there kayaking guys! Jesus christ.

The kayaking theory may not be as absurd as the scant evidence suggests. It's actually a rather logical course of action for a man fleeing into the wilderness. Kayaks would provide quick transport on rivers, and traveling over water would leave no scent for even the best bloodhound ever bred to follow.
They have attachments that can turn a kayak into a floating tent.

As well as an attachment that can add wheels, turning your kayak into a makeshift cart.

When you think about it, this is some pretty intelligent shit to bring while on the run.

Maybe that's what was in the camper. A kayak and the paraphernalia required to turn it into a fully mobile wilderness survival and escape kit.

As far as kayaking goes, if he is an EXTREMELY experienced kayaker with EXCELLENT technique he can do walking speeds with similar levels of exhaustion. If he is just a novice he could go a couple of miles per hour and reach exhaustion quickly.

News has said nothing about his experience kayaking or sailing.

A kayak would make sense in order to make it to a bigger boat waiting further out, or maybe even skirt along the coast looking for a sail boat to steal.

But 10-15 miles range in a day may not be sufficient to find a underpopulated area of the beach to hide out in and obtain fresh water each day. River travel wouldn't be that great of an option because navigable rivers in Florida won't take you that far. This guy needs to make some serious distance from his current location.

That or he needs to hide out somewhere and then double back on an area they have already searched.

His most significant advantage in all of this is that he can where a hat, sunglasses & a mask without looking out of place. Most people wouldn't even recognize him. Especially when it is dark.

The person who created that NFT clearly is not the person who took the photo as she is not in a swing. She is holding onto some thin young trees.

Gee. I wonder if NFTs might just be a way to launder money as is done with artwork.

I'm not sure why Dog still thinks he's anywhere near that resort. Would it be smart of Brian to keep circling the same area for weeks now? Especially seeing how it's a popular destination for tourists, and a small one on top of that. Even if he disguises himself he'll come off as suspicious to someone sooner or later. And seeing all the traction this case has been getting, the tourists may very well be on the lookout for suspicious activity.

I think the reserve is a much more likely place for him to be at, if he hadn't left the state already. He's survived in the wilderness before, so he might know how to avoid the alligators. And the FBI has scaled back the search too, it's becoming a safer area to hide in. Though I'm not sure if he has any means to read news articles.

Brian would like to be where the investigators would not think to look. That said, the islands won't have fresh water unless they are built out as park facilities. And as you noted, heavy with tourists already on alert.

His best bet at the campground islands is to try and find evidence that Brian HAD been there hiding out.

If so, that would mean that Brian's parents lied about the Carlton Nature Preserve thus allowing local & federal law enforcement to start charging Brian's parents with crimes and stacking on fines for a false search. Maybe even a few nights in the slammer. The wife might just might cave on the first night in jail.

Also it would suggest a new starting point for their search. The only ways off that set of islands or keys is by boat or by car via the single road in & out. If by car, he definitely has a 3rd party helping him escape. If by car, that escape could be anywhere in the US by now. But they probably have video camera plates of everyone who entered and exited that island park. If by boat, he could be in Mexico, Belize or Cuba by now. Mexico & Belize are his two better bets.
