So much material, so little time (going to the opera in a couple of hours):
Theory of Luck
luck 100 points = [karma 4 + modesty 1] x [desire 4 + actions4 + abilities 4 + contributions4 + blessings4]
Let's apply this formula to Brad, shall we?
karma -- Nobody wants bad luck, so we should discount bad karma and only concern ourselves with good karma here. Brad has exhibited no qualities in this thread that might be considered "good", but I refuse to believe he hasn't done
something good in-between all of his misdemeanors, felonies and selfish behavior. 1 point.
modesty -- Brad has none. 0 points.
desire -- Brad is the king of desire. 4 points.
actions -- What actions? Sitting at home all day watching TV for alleged synchronisms while shitbombing people on various forums? Uh-uh. 0 points.
abilities -- I don't think there is any doubt that Brad has tremendous abilities when it comes to music. 4 points.
contributions -- refuses to pay taxes, makes very few decent contributions to the discussion here, seems to make his best contribution to society by staying home watching TV most of the time. 1 point.
blessings -- He has his talent, he has his gf, he has his health. 4 points.
So:
[karma 1 + modesty 0] x [desire 4 + actions0 + abilities 4 + contributions1 + blessings4] = luck 12 points
Ouch, Brad, that's a pretty low score -- and I was being lenient.
Palmer was a longtime Freemason. That would mean he had been taught reincarnation
WRONG! "And there's also the "Do Masons believe in
reincarnation topic?" The answer? Some probably do - but because Masons are taught to bring nothing offensive or defensive into the lodge, such matters are NEVER the subject of lodge discussions nor does the fraternity take a position on them." --

There's One GOD. Masons don't believe in multiple gods.
Welllll...Not exactly. "In order to become a Mason, one must assent to a belief in a Supreme Being. How, specifically, that belief is interpreted or how it is addressed in one's daily life is left up to the individual. Freemasonry NEVER tries to describe or explain that to the candidate/member." --
ibid. "Supreme Being" covers a lot of ground: God, Allah, Vishnu, Kami, Adonai are all Supreme Beings in various religions. Masons do not hold their members to one strict religion.
The following is page 20 (27) from the 74-page booklet There Are No Coincidences...
Well, which is it? 20 or 27?
The Theory of Luck equation is one of percentages...
100% = 5% x 20% = [4% + 1%] x [4% + 4% + 4% + 4% + 4%]
You can't just multiply percents, they have to be expressed in decimal formats (or fractions) to perform mathematical functions. For example, 5% x 100 = .05 x 100 = 5. So when you express your formula in percentages, what you are saying is [.04 + .01] x [.04 + .04 + .04 + .04 + .04] =.05 x .20 = .01. To express that as a percent, you would multiply by 100. .01 x 100 = 1%. In other words, 5% x 20% = 1% -- meaning your formula doesn't work using percentages. This is basic math, Brad, how do you not know this?
