I actually find it ironic that there was an entire episode of Viva La Bam dedicated to hounding Phil into not eating so much, yet when Phil tried to convince Bam to act more healthy, Bam refused and April shut Phil down. The Pot calling the Kettle Black and all that, albeit with Bam doing pot on the side of his drinking.

It's always difficult for stage parents to control their child actor stars.

I would hope that Phoenix is just an incredibly unfortunate looking kid, but those are some classically FAS features. Poor little lad. With all his father's money to take care of him, that child should never have wanted for any opportunity in life. At least he should be able to get the professional support he needs assuming that Phil and April have protected enough of Bam's cash for that.

And I hope he enjoyed his visit with his dad, regardless. He deserves that. He is the only one in this drama vortex who isn't responsible for being involved in any of it.
