Call of Duty Thread - Potential return to form? Or nothing but cope on the horizon? You decide!

There's also the complete shift in personality, because I highly doubt if Leach was still voicing Ghost, he'd sound so soy 24/7.
Didn't the Ghost actor get blacklisted from Activision because of a comment he made against women from game chat? If so, that's stupid as hell.

His lawyer claims he and Activision split amicably some months beforehand, but the comments were much older IIRC and this only got announced when this started blowing up
It wasn't comments in game chat, he was ranting about ZombiUnicorn on his stream, don't really recall the origin of his beef with her but I think she threw the first stone if I'm remembering right. So he started making fun of her for being fat, for having simps, and for "getting no dick" lol.
Absolute retards considered him making fun of her for being a "fat cunt" misogynistic. Which is hilarious, because ZombiUnicorn has a long past of scamming people and being dropping the dreaded FAGGOT word.
He was basically just belittling someone on his streams, used "cunt" and people painted him as someone who just completely hates women because he called one chick a fat cunt who can't get laid lmao.

Either way, that does not help Activision's case given how they have a sexual harassment lawsuit.

It's both really sad, and really funny, that he got fired. I mean, he was kind of right, especially because it was all towards ZombiUnicorn (the fat chick behind Bully Hunters, if anyone remembers that.) and so I'd argue it was pretty justified (and true). But, I'm also not sure what he expected would happen saying all of that on livestreams lol
t b h I think thats just an excuse that was extremely convenient, MW22 Ghost has an actual body motion capture actor in the campaign now. Leach only provided the voice originally.

The one thing that CoD: WWII did right after its lifespan is to permanently enable 2XP for rank, weapons and Zombies.

I wish more games would do that for their end-of-life cycles. World at War especially since 10th prestige takes forever and the population has declined significantly. AND there's an achievement associated with it.

Can confirm that it made leveling a bit easier, especially with the Shipment 24/7 playlist meaning a lot of quick matches. Frankly, I wish I enjoyed the game a bit more; the gunplay was decent, but the overall game itself just felt a bit boring in comparison to the other CoD games, and I'm not entirely sure why.

In spite of the shitty lootboxes, black nazis, and some meme skins it's better than the modern ones and had fun stuff like custom paintjobs. Maybe it's just rose tinted glasses and the fact I always played it splitscreen with my dad, but I loved WW2.

Few things I learned about CoD 3:

  • The melee range for the flag in multiplayer rivals that of the Commando perk from MW2.
  • Sound can cut off randomly for the whole game.
  • Two characters from CoD: United Offensive return in CoD 3, Sgt. James Doyle and Major Gerald Ingram from the SAS campaign. Even more interesting is that United Offensive was a PC-only expansion for the original Call of Duty, while Call of Duty 3 never received a PC port.
  • Call of Duty 3 uses Treyarch's NGL engine instead of the IW engine.

Speaking of CoD and Xbox, 2009's Modern Warfare 2 is projected to be the next CoD dropping to Game Pass around March or April. Whether the campaign only remaster or the original title is unknown. If true, it'd likely be the 2009 original to stay in line with the older CoDs recently being added to the Microsoft Store on Windows.
Sorry for the double post:

New batch of Game Pass titles this month.

MWII, not MW2, will be added to Game Pass next month. Wow, what a curveball. I hate this drip feeding of Activision IPs like this.

Is this the first COD game on goypass? I swore there were others.
Anyways, I guess COD is officially a rental franchise, much like other slop shooters before them. Delta Force comes to mind, or maybe it was SOCOM, one of those unremarkable generic 5th/6th gen military shooters that were made by the dozens, much like we get a yearly COD release now.

No, that was MWIII I think, followed by Black Ops 6.

Since Call of Duty is a platform, they could have just release each game on that platform at once. Or at least a month apart, not several. I was thinking about buying MWII, but this helps. Of course, now CoD would hold up the majority of my SSD now.

Black Ops 6 doing with the Versandak release? Just THINKING about Black Ops 6 puts me in a mood.
the warzone side of it is almost certainly doing poorly, even CoD Sloptubers were predicting that, theyll probably drop support for it with Black Ops 7, not that the multiplayer will be any good in comparison to older CoDs but it will be nice to see them actually focus on Multiplayer and Zombies again and not make it an afterthought

I keep thinking about GTA 6. I don't think Black Ops 7 or the next Warzone will retain players come this year.

I remember with MWIII that everybody runs around with the Riot Shield because it would cover your back as well. Annoying as hell.

I also remember how MW2's riot shield would leave bullet marks on the shield, impairing your view during use.

Semi-auto Shotgun with explosive slugs or dragons breath was usually what I used. That and anything with fire really. They are annoying but if someone actually pulls it out it's not that hard to make them exclusively miserable.
