What most people forget is that Canadian's dealing with supply line disruptions by an insurgency in Winter would affect them too, and affect them worse. The US has logistical autism. While Buddy from Newfoundland is freezing over a can of beans, Jimmy from the 101st is having Burger King.

On top of that, it would be a fight between States, not Nations. Canada is not a nation as there is not a unified people with a unified identity. An ethnic group that is destabilized by an ethnic outsider like the US in Afghanistan. Has a visible target, a symbol to fight against. American's for the most part, look Canadian. They speak the same language, they watch the same shows, they consume the same sports, the same food. So white Canadians would grumble and then get over it, the Indians would flee south, thankful they no longer have to live in this frozen wasteland.

I've seen a lot of liberals talking about practicing at shooting ranges to prepare for an American invasion, despite them also supporting guns getting banned at the same time.

This is all true, but there is one big thing you forgot to mention should the States occupy us - Old, White, Liberal women will screech at young, White males to drop everything and die for them because nothing terrifies them more than le Fascist dictatorship south of the border.

I think Canada could be conquered without having a single soldier within shooting range. Just blockade the borders and ports, possibly fly some bombers to rapidly disassemble any millitary outposts or power plants. Heck the Canadian military might just side with the American one if they determine that the government is intentionally trying to 41% the nation.

Which is why it's frustrating to hear all these retards talking about prices as though they're the result of actual shortage and not just a deliberate sales bottleneck. Without punishment for sitting on overpriced properties, any new 'affordable' homes will go straight into the clutches of the realtors. "Gee maybe now that DeBeers has opened a new diamond mine, the price of diamonds will drop!"

Also, I'm seeing these gay anti-racism ads on TV from... the Ontario Council of Agencies Serving Immigrants! Not even a pretense of universal good, just 'stop scaring away our jeet cash cows!' Too bad things are too far gone for them to push back now.
 
Canada is absolutely screwed considering we rely on imports for most manufactured goods especially technology and crafts, almost all of them are coming from the USA, or have their warehouses in the USA.

Canada is outgunned, outclassed, and turbo-cucked. "New Canadians" will do fuck all when it comes to service except become "refugees" to other white countries, and the logistics system is borked. A few exploded railways and some well-placed blockades and urban bugmen are going to start missing meals.

Building fuckloads of cheap as shit tiny ass apartments to create an easily obtainable floor for housing would put a huge dent in homelessness, let young people thrive by not being shackled with 2000+ rents, and cause real estate prices to at least follow inflation rather than outpace it, or even better, cause it to drop. But the neoliberal oligarchy won't, because fuck you give us money rentpiggy. The conservative won't, because xwitter told them it's "pod living". And the leftist won't, because it's on unsceded chug land and is not BIPOCLGBTQ+ inclusive enough.

It would work, and it would benefit and lift up society. Go to Japan, you can rent dirt cheap dorm-style homes for nothing. It's just a small private room with some amenities as shared spaces. I stayed in one for one leg of my journey; it's not luxury living, but it's living. I think I saw maybe 2 homeless people during my visit to Tokyo, and my understanding is that buying a home is well within the average working Japs means. A lot of the wests problems are easily solved with our excess of wealth and resources but those in power don't give a fuck about uplifting the general populace. I fucking hate it here. I hate seeing my friends and loved ones suffer at the hand of a government that's indifferent at best, and malicious at worst.

Canada Post union calls for overtime ban as company, workers fail to reach agreement
OTTAWA — The union representing about 55,000 Canada Post employees has called for a countrywide overtime ban, saying its negotiators will continue to review the latest offers from the mail carrier.

The Canadian Union of Postal Workers says members are being called on to refuse any work beyond eight hours in a day and 40 hours in a week.

The news comes as CUPW was set to be in a legal strike position as of midnight.

It also comes after an evening meeting between the two sides that happened at the union's request.

The union says the overtime ban will go into effect unless Canada Post agrees to a two-week "truce" prior to midnight that the corporation had previously rejected.

The union says it is still going over the offer proposed on Wednesday and decided to proceed with an overtime ban to "minimize disruptions to the public and lost days to members."

I'm trying to tell them their life will be significantly worse, but they are incapable of seeing Canada's issues. Canada, to them, is this mystical Lefty Paradise where fags frolic in beautiful forests and land is abundant and all races and ethnicities mix without issue. I'm sure this way of thinking is extremely prevalent with many leftist Americans.

Burgers see we don't have their specific problems and assume we're a utopia. I mean, I'm glad we don't have half the serious problems Americans got, but we ain't no paradise that's for sure.

I don't think any English speaking western country truly has it good any more. UK, Canada and US suck balls, each with a distinct flavor of shittiness. I don't know enough about Australia to really say about them.
