What game will they revive?

Capcom has been having a pretty good run lately, what with the success of Monster Hunter: World, the remade Resident Evil 2, and Devil May Cry 5. In its latest financial report, Capcom hints that this string of successes is fuelling a push to revive dormant—but still valuable—Capcom properties.

What those might be is anyone's guess at this point. But Capcom is clearly looking to an international audience now more than ever. Monster Hunter—a series which formerly had about 25 percent of its player base hailing from outside Japan—is now enjoyed by a supermajority of international players, who make up 75 percent of Monster Hunter: World's audience, Capcom says.

The report suggests that Capcom is looking at 'dormant' IPs to re-release or remaster for modern hardware, and given Capcom's recent catalogue, that could mean a range of possibilities. Of course it would be fun to see a remastered Final Fight become available on PC, but what about a completely reimagined version of Ghosts 'n Goblins, designed for modern machines? Could the Lost Planet series work better as co-op experiences now, especially with an audience that's more primed to jump into multiplayer PvE?

You can read the full report on Capcom's website.

So what will it be? my bet would be Dragon's Dogma

My Guess would originally be Dragon's Dogma if Monster Hunter World hadn't adopted so many of it's systems.

The Paleco has become the Pawn

You can climb and grapple onto monsters now

Combat is far more fluid

Dragon's Dogma had a severe lack of enemies though. You had enemies based around the Cyclops rig of which there were like 2-3 other varieties, you had griffons and Hippogriffs, You had Drakes, like two Wyrms in the whole game(the one that spawns in the arena area), and like one actual dragon, the two flavors of Hydra, the two types of manticore, and the big boss bone dragon guy. Bristleback isle only had one or two more unique enemies and both of them were bosses.

you mostly fought wolves, goblins, harpies, and other humans.

So I'm going to say Dino Crisis

Rival Schools is like F-Zero, it's characters are attached to a far more popular franchise that they guest-star in, ensuring that they will never get another game ever again because the guest-starring franchise is far more popular.

Also the fast travel system sucked in Dragon's Dogma.

Whoever voted for Sengoku Basara, y'all exceptional, that game just had a new release not too long ago (and it was bootyass).

I'd imagine Dino Crisis, what with the success of Jurassic World, its sequels, and the games. Now would be the time for a dino gaem. I'd say God Hand and Viewtiful Joe are equally likely, though.

Hopefully not Joe or Okami but after seeing what they've done to DMC it wouldn't surprise me if they wanted to rape another of Kamiya's babies. Wouldn't be surprised if it's Darkstalkers because they want more of that FTP dosh or Power Stone so they can market it as their answer to Smash.

Powerstone replacing MVC as Capcom's go-to easy to learn fighter would be fine.

Have original characters as well as capcom's other series cross over into it as fighters, the arena combat and weapons as well as destroy-able objects would make it much different than smash brothers.

Man why you gotta bring harsh reality to my doorstep. I just want more fun adventures with Street Fighter Junior

It can't be okami because they already made an announcement IIRC and the guy who's supposed to be leading it is a foot fetishist, so expect every single female in the game to have bare legs and flipflops.

I wouldn't mind another Viewtiful Joe tbh. I really liked it's unique aesthetic and influences (or at least the combination and presentation thereof).

I voted Steel Battalion because I didn't know about the first game until it was valuable and I want one of those crazy gigantic controllers.

I too want permadeath in my mech sim.

For those that don't know in SB on the gigantic ass console there was a plastic covered red button. What is this button you may ask? It's the eject button, when your mech was about to blow up, and trust me it will you had to eject or you'd die and it'd delete your save. You could also get into a fail-state pretty easily just by not having enough money to purchase another vehicle as well.

I know it's never gonna happen and if it did the result would be horrible, but I voted Godhand.

And thinking about that makes me wish Platinum would do a Jojo pt. 5 game.
