Not my interpretation. I see heroic qualities in him hidden beneath a thick layer of dumb horny teenager. He stops acting heroic in part 2 because he loses his powers if people aren't afraid of him, but I think he's being written as a character who deep down is perfectly willing to go to the mat in the interest of eliminating threats to humanity.
Well it's also how Denji was able to get a sneak attack on Makima since she cared little for him but he did kill her since he didn't hate her which like despite all she did, she still gave him a better living situation than what he had before
The official translation sometimes cuts out naughty/non PC language which is weird in a manga full of gore and death.
Yeah like the official localization isn't bad but it's far from perfect.

I don't really get Fakesaw. What is his deal? Why is he here? Where did he come from? We're 3.5/4 through this story already and we don't know anything about this thing. We're still doing the Fight Club thing so maybe that has something to do with this? What the hell is this thing?
Some people think he's Miri the Sword Hybrid from the big Makima and hybrid fight at the end of part one who makes sporadic appearances in part 2 because he also claims to have the Fire Devil inside him and refers to himself as "we" both things Fakesaw man also does.
