Is it just me or these people just have never paid attention to events like WACCO before. I mean, this is epic because literally the government has to do nothing but barricade them off from the rest of the city, and essentially let them just starve to death. This will literally be the perfect case study for all of these commie larpers to learn the true issues with their ideology. I wrote a list of flaws that I've found in their model:
1 ) They're commies
2 ) The "field nurses" are very incompetent half baked drop outs.
3 ) They're supplies are reliant on the already existing urban supply chain.
4 ) Likely they are surrounded by the national guard, the feds, and the SWAT.
5 ) They have not mastered the ancient practice of agriculture.
6 ) Their leader has amounted nothing to be a third rate sound cloud rapper.
7 ) They trade shit tickets and cigarettes/prison currency.
8 ) Certain members have been already getting rounded up and brought to the black sites/FEMA camps.
9 ) How are they going to power anything without access to fuel, let alone the resources/machinery/refineries necessary to get said fuel.
10 ) Their crop yields are too low to sustain more than a few people.
11 ) They barely have any weapons, how come CHEZ the Chad was able to take over so easily.
12 ) The homeless raided them already once.
13 ) 1 hellfire missile would ping off that entire "occupied zone."
14 ) They are relying on the internet/ cellular service, once there are jammers they will no longer have access to the outside world.
15 ) Their ranks consist of soyboys, karens, neckbeards, joggers, teen girls, all equally cringe, and incompetent.
16 ) They are so disorganized that one moment of inconvenience turns into absolute and utter self annihilation because of lack of self control, hence inner group fighting. This was already demonstrated in their general tactics in their social media, as well what we've observed during the protests.
17 ) If any decide to leave the commune point 8 will be repeated.
18 ) Unless they are trading in crypto all of their money is traceable and whatever accounts they are keeping likely are already being monitored and will be seized by the Federal government in the matter of days.
19 ) How in the fuck are they going to have access to any type of water to stay hydrated, especially since the summer months. Polluted Seattle rain water probably isn't the best to drink, and seeing they're understanding of architecture. I highly doubt their understanding of reverse osmosis and distillation is any better beyond an elementary level.
20 ) Aren't we still in the middle of a Pandemic?
21 ) Neighboring gangs could easily swoop in and challenge their control of said territory.
22 ) What happens when they run out of their narcotics, because most of these people obviously are fans of said substances.
23 ) Medical supplies where already difficult to acquire in normal circumstances, along with I am not aware of any clinics or hospitals being in their general vicinity. A couple of COVID patients is all that would be needed to fuck everything up, hence I re-frame to 20.
24 ) Just like in OCCUPY, all the police have to really do is give them the illusion of control over the situation. They'll let em be isolated in their one little part of the city, but once the bulldozers start coming in there really isn't much they can do but hope they don't get their tents crushed.
25 ) Even if they last until the winter, let alone last until the first day of summer how will they acquire the lumber necessary or materials necessary to stay warm.
26) What happens if there is an infestation of ticks, maggots, or any other type of insect that can contaminate their food supplies, let alone any of their clothing.
27) How can they bathe with out sanitary products?

The entirety of Seattle's governance is economically illiterate. They also passed the $15 minimum wage law (which every economist, even ones of the left, acknowledge is financially ruinous in the long run). Both mayoral candidates claimed that the reason there were so many homeless people is because there "isn't enough housing" (despite luxury apartments in Capitol Hill sitting empty for years) leading them to pass a huge multi-million dollar tax on Amazon, the city's main moneymaker, for "homelessness programs". Knowing many low level Amazon jobs would be cut from that, regular Seattleites had some sense and actually protested that decision and made them overturn it. They have some of the biggest companies in America within their borders yet there is trash on the street and homeless people everywhere. They're just awful.

You see, if these people actually paid attention to history and, heaven forbid, colonialism they would know that the most successful civilizations always spring up around a wealth of natural resources. Natural harbors, fertile land, rivers etc. Not in the middle of a city surrounded by potentially hostile forces. The American Left is already well on it's way to having a politically-based backward unworkable farming method. The organic and sustainable farming nonsense. They managed to shove that shit into universities too. It's a disgrace.
The idea that they were going to grow anything on a glacial moraine from the last ice age is laughable. It's all rocks and sand and clay. They would have to spend decades working the land to have even mediocre soil. Somebody else around here mentioned that the community gardens in the area use raised beds with trucked in topsoil. The ground is that shitty. Not worth the effort. Never was.
No amount of reading or passed down knowledge is going to fix it either. If you want to do some communal farming thing put it in a place with arable land. Not some ancient pile of rocks in the middle of an urban center.

I lived in the city both before and after the 2016 election. What's funny is in the actual black and brown parts of town, you very rarely see political propaganda. Other than political campaign signs on people's lawns and store windows, I remember one poster for a "Fight for 15" march, and that was it.

Exactly. The Ethiopian neighborhood east of SU and the International District, which are way poorer, were much more enjoyable to be in a lot of the time. Not only was the food phenomenal and cheap, but you were actually dealing with people living the American dream.
