I remember when I used to work psych when I first got licensed. My friend and I used to tell new admits with psychosis and delusions of grandeur, "well, if you're Jesus Christ, who's that other guy or gal saying the same thing." People don't realize how common this is.

I once talked to a guy working in a loony bin and he told me they had an entire floor of skitzos thinking they are some famous person. Half the people in that ward thought they were Jesus, there were a few Napoleons, a handful of John Lennons, 2 Elvises and a whole buttload of randos who at least had the courtesy of picking someone more unique.

Keep in mind, that's rural Germany. Just goes to show how common this Jesus-delusion is, even on an international level.
