So I have been passively watching Chris Chan for the past decade like many others here and I strongly agree with this post with one caveat/addition.

I spent a lot of time as a kid volunteering at a school for disabled children and adults (was SUPER catholic growing up and my Church was heavily involved in the school despite it being public) and I have always known or at least felt that Chris has always been far more disabled than most Christorians really understand. Not only does Chris remind me of the severely disabled autistic adults that I would work with, he also reminds me of the adult 80s crack babies that would go to the school. I'm not saying that Chris is a crack baby but Barb and Bob were obviously severe alcoholics (a point that many seem to overlook) and there's no doubt that Barb was drinking during her pregnancy. Many of the FAS/Crack children as adults would exhibit psychopathic or NPD patterns of behavior but most were not really "there" enough to think of any sort of scheme beyond "let me steal an extra cookie" or something similar.

The other thing I should mention is that many severely disabled adults with Autism are able to talk and hold conversations like 'normal people' but they just seem a little bit off. Chris is like this and I think most people see that he's able to communicate and use a computer and think "oh man this guy isn't r*tarded" he's not drooling on himself of shitting his pants as an adult (which Chris actually does) lets bully him because he gets disability - he's just a lazy asshole - he needs to work and contribute to society". But in reality Chris is just as disabled as someone wearing a bike helmet in a wheelchair. You could make the argument that had his circumstances been different he may have turned out differently but those days are long gone. It's a nature vs nurture kind of argument that is now irrelevant. Chris will never be able to take care of himself, and he has shown that he is incapable of making important decisions on his own. Had he had actual parents he would have been able to receive the life assistance that he needs early on and he probably would have been able to live a happy purposeful life in a group home. Sadly though, this never happened and the problems have only gotten worse to the point at which he is now an actual threat to the public.

I wish it did not have to be this way but in America with public mental institutions the way they are, people like Chris get put in jail everyday. You can not have mentally disabled sex criminals on the street, and there really is no other place to put them. It's really a tragedy and it has been really painful to watch all of this but yeah Chris Chan is basically the last generation of mentally disabled Children with elderly parents that don't understand modern mental healthcare. A phenomenon like this may never happen again but do not let this lesson go unlearned. Severe mental disabilities in a vacuum never produce anything good. If you see Chris as a person with agency I'm really sorry but you should really treat everything Chris says as if it's coming from someone wearing a helmet and drooling on themselves.

Point blank: Chris is far more severely disabled than many realize. It isn't an issue of laziness, spoiled, or childishness. There are co-occurring disorders that have altered his personality to where he develops deviant and abnormal behavior - usually in the form of either sexual or pseudo-delusions. (Deep down he most likely knows he is making up these fantasies, but is more "fun" to pretend he is detached from reality.)

So in addition to a compromised intelligence ( and I truly believe this man has an IQ range at the most in the mid-80s), we have someone who exhibits deviant behavior in the sociological/psychiatric definition, most likely due to an undiagnosed personality disorder.

TL;DR: This man was damaged goods from the start, and Bob had the right idea of letting him live on disability. However, he should've found a farm (group home) where he would be monitored and not be a nuisance to the general population.

One thing I've wondered is what will happen when he finally dies - literally nobody in his family is going to want to claim the body but at the same time the body won't be given to some random-ass weens. Is the ultimate fate of Chris getting cremated and buried in a pauper's grave with only a serial number tombstone? Might be for the best because we all know what weens would fucking do if he actually had a headstone.

His younger relatives might do something for him out of pity, even if just paying for the shittiest cremation available and just tossing his ashes on the first patch of woods they find. Family is family, even when they did what Chris did!

Why is he even writing like that? Someone mentioned the whole "he's probably trying to get an insanity plea" thing... but does he usually talk like this? It feels borderline nonsensical.

Chris is pretty retarded when writing and speaking, albeit a little less so when speaking. His tweets were borderline unreadable even without the shitty emojis he loved to spam lol!

Chris was always doomed to see a bad ending. I've always believed his Autism was far more severe than he proudly proclaimed with the "High Functioning" tag. His intelligence is obviously below average. He likely does have some other mental disorder that's compounded by his Autism. He was raised by parents who were old enough to be his grandparents, and they were not equipped to raise a child like Chris. He basically grew up being patented by cartoons and video games, never being expected to be responsible or disciplined. He was spoiled and coddled, and always had his problems solved by others. Whenever life got the slightest bit difficult he would retreat into escapist entertainment, and then eventually into the delusional power fantasy world he'd made for himself.

Chris isn't Schizo or Psychotic. He has major mental problems, but he still knows right from wrong. He wasn't scheming to get off on an insanity plea with his letter to Null. He was doing what he always does whenever reality becomes too uncomfortable: he fell back on retreating into his power fantasies.
