It's worth remembering that whenever Vito claims to be unbothered by something that's usually a cast-iron guarantee he is seething. Having said that, even if the thread does please him, I have no issue with him directing more people to go look at the archived evidence of him saying he wants to fuck kids. Good going, Vito, you sure played us.

Not even really casting shade on Liefeld, who even developed a sense of humor about the mockery. His flaws aside, his work was generally very popular. It had positive traits to the point that if you didn't look at it, because it was comic book art, and who gets all hoity-toity about that, and for much of his career the flaws were ignored.

Liefeld also deserves a lot of credit, along with guys like Todd McFarlane, for telling the big two publishers who dominated the industry in the 80/90s to go fuck themselves and making their own way.

It was a much ballsier move back before things like crowdfuning existed and I think, regardless of how people feel about the art, these guys deserve respect for making it clear that not only could you make it without DC or Marvel's blessing, you could become fantastically wealthy while doing so, whether you can draw feet or not!

I also suspect there's a bit of historical revisionism going on and Rob wasn't the only one putting out questionable art. I've seen some stuff from guys still getting work today who are guilty of a lot of the same shit he gets dragged for. As you say, I think it just became a meme to hate him.

Went ahead and archived it because it may go down. The guy was streaming by hanging a go-pro from around his neck. Near the end they pulled him aside and the stream ends.

TLDW: The biggest applause they receive is when introduced. Some pity laughs here and there but as the show goes on even those die out. They seem out of their depth. Dax seems more and more frustrated the longer the show goes. Lots of silence from the crowd.

Since the guy's stream was cut off before the stand-up set, I tried looking elsewhere. Instead I found a reaction stream to one of his older sets. It seems the original was hidden behind the Patreon and they never mention it. You'll see why. Cut out the stream commentary, as well as a couple time's when he's laughing at his own jokes.
