Yeah, he kept those up but off the "season" playlists.
Early video thumbnails do have the number in the bottom right corner and number 6 is missing. I guess it had problems beside his usual audio issues.

I unironically prefer some of his "old and crap" videos over most of the modern ones. Maybe the difference is in the source thats being covered and/or maybe I enjoyed Civvie's older voice and humor a bit more.
Maybe he wants to avoid to make it seem like Capstone is his AVGN's LJN (since he does say he hates recurrent gimmicks like that...unless he's the one doing them).
He might as well cover anything else left made by them, even briefly touch on the prototype of Operation Body count. There aint much so he might as well call this the "finale of the Capstone Saga that even I wasnt aware of it but my cap- I mean, producers said is a thing"
I know this mascot was a THING at one point but its kind of surprising that Civvie is covering this...with something like SOTN, you could argue that it makes SOME sense since he did gush over how much he loves it in the past and you'll be pressed to find someone NOT at least plenty familiar witht this game even if its just out of cultural osmosis but Jackrabbit?
You could argue it has "boomer" value but given how Jack never even had a FPS at any point, one must wonder whats the thematic connection here.
It just feels, and may Allah forgive me to say this, like filler.

Same, I guess I would just be glad people are watching my shit. I can understand the logic, he wants the freedom to follow what he especifically wants at the moment but idk, feels like that isnt a big deal and people will watch whatever he makes as long as it is good either way.
Its weird, I tend to notice this a lot with youtubers...
I'd imagine wrestlers are a bit more grounded I'd imagine, they know their fans put them where they are and can easily take it away if they dont treat them right (as it should be).
The funny thing is that some early youtubers seemed to handle fame significantly better than modern ones. Markiplier and Pewdiepie seem to treat their fans just fine and have a healthy level of interaction. And parasocial relation just wasnt a term thrown around back then, now I wonder if its because that things have gotten legit worse or if maybe we just handled it better (and the term wasnt used much if at all).

Back then people were still able to separate real life and the internet since all these creators grew up without twitter, facebook and discord. THEN the next generation came and they were on the internet from the crib, that's when the real para-social behavior began since these people cannot understand the difference between real life and the internet, for them it is one and the same. The content creators have also gotten more predatory with time, it is now a widely understood phenomenon that you WANT to form these relationships with your fans to draw in whales. Even a few of them can keep your channel afloat, even if everyone else leaves, so you want to form these relationships with them and become their e-friend or e-daddy as much as possible for maximum profit.

What a fitting user to post this video. This was a pretty decent one. Go figure that the team behind Daikatana would go on to make a slightly less-shit game in the form of an FPS based around a KISS comic. Aside from the spawner bullshit, Civvie seemed to appreciate the art direction and didn't have any major bitching about the weapons.
I personally have never played this, but it's very on-brand for KISS. It lowkey makes me miss that era of music that chased the eccentric fantasy trends and branched out into other media. They're definitely mild by today's standards and still do the casinos tours, but they were pretty controversial in their prime. Imagine living in a time where a bunch of dudes in face paint singing chick ballads was a subject of controversy. Still, they left their footprint on popular culture, sold an absolutely retarded amount of tickets, and got all the women they would want and then some.

I've played through it some time in the past during my midlife crisis when I'd visit whatever curious game I'd read about in pc magazines in late 90s, all I remember is it had excellent music I'd sometimes put in the background while working on something, that the guns were very unsatisfying to use... hard to describe, they have almost no "oomph" to them like you'd be shooting a Nerf gun, that the first episode is good and the rest get very repetetive with the same goddamn enemies and spawners everywhere. At the halfway point or so I was playing it more out of obligation to see everything than fun. Shooting things was certainly not fun due to the issue I've described, but I could ignore that for the first 2 episodes just to see the levels. The one where you're in a giant bookcase reminded me of NES Rescue Rangers, I love gimmicky Alice in Wonderland stuff like this.

Great video, return to form. Good energy, well edited, scripted. Minimal "Katy". Only one gag that might get people arguing about whatever retarded politics he has. I remember seeing this being sold in stores and at the time not knowing what the fuck KISS was being confused but intrigued by it. I always thought it was a Quake engine game and was really surprised to learn from this that it was Lithtech.
It's funny that Blood 2 so atrociously shitty that it has caused actual trauma to him. I sympathise, it's wretched. That's why we all know the real Blood 2 is called Death Wish.

How has that one cutscene where they left a kitchen timer ding as a placeholder teleporting noise not become a meme online by now, that is one of the most memorable fuckups in Blood 2 besides the gameplay imo.

I don't know how deliberate that was actually the same ding is used as the sound effect for the mission objectives being updated, so I'm inclined to believe that they simply forgot to add the sound effect for the portal and the only sound is the update.

Not to steer this into a Blood 2 spergout but was the source code for it every released? I'm kind of surprised there was never a concentrated effort to "fix" it considering how legendarily bad the game is and the dedication of the fan base. I'm also a bit surprised that with the revival of "boomer shooters" and success of Doom that no one has even hinted at bringing Blood back when they could probably (unfortuantely) copy nuDoom and it'd print a bit of money.

Everyone who cares about Blood is modding Blood 1, to "fix" Blood 2 you'd have to pretty much make whole game on your own as Blood 2 is an alpha with barely any content.
