Johnson, who first made a name for himself as a right-wing "citizen journalists" during the
A Rape on Campus scandal, really got his start during the 2016 election cycle where he dipped his toes into reporting on just about anything that was current in RW circles: Pizzagate, Antifa, Wikileaks, BLM, "meme warfare", etc. His reporting, which more often than not was totally made up, brought him close to several prominent figures at the time, like Steve Bannon (and through Bannon,
Jeffrey Eppstein), Mike Cernovich,
Julien Assange (for whom he claimed to be a liaison to Trump), Milo Yiannopolous, Trump himself, and most importantly to this story,
Peter Thiel.
Him and Thiel were united by their hatred against celebrity gossip website Gawker, which had outed Thiel as a sodomite, and Johnson as an
alleged floor shitter. Thiel also got Johnson a pass into the tech world, where he'd end up founding or co-founding a bunch of tech companies, most importantly
clearview.ai, which makes facial recognition software for law enforcment and glowniggers of all stripes

Johnson's 15 minutes of fame ended around 2019. Much like a certain
other suspected federal informant, he began riding
with Biden in 2021.
Totally coincidentally, this was also around the time he begann passing the FBI information for their investigation against Steve Bannon. That same year, he admitted that he
helped recruit Thiel as a "Confidential Human Source" to the feds by introducing him to an agent specializing in political corruption.
