These players participated in the first official OWI tournament called Squad Arena (against 7th-affiliated teams) under the team "Deep State" organized by Squad YouTuber Col. Kernel, who put out a drama video today. OWI had announced sign-ups for Squad Arena #2 on 5/17, three days before these questionable bans. 7th admins had exported these bans to the Community Ban List:

The Community Ban List is a community run server administration tool. It allows community servers to share ban information with each other. Server admins are "encouraged" to have evidence for their bans, but outside of exceptional cases the CBL managers will not audit a server's bans. The CBL data shows that even while the 23 Deep State bans were active, the total "recruitment" bans didn't reach even 1/2 of the 92 pedophilia bans on record.

The fashion in which the 7th actioned these bans threw red flags for the CBL jannies who then audited the bans and removed them, to the chagrin of 7th admins and implying lack of evidence.
