Offensive is back on. Most sources report that M23 has captured Nyabibwe. Additionally, the speaker of the National Assembly of the DRC reported that M23 had reached Ihusi, about 20km south of Nyabibwe, 25 km north of the Bukavu airport in Kavumu, and 40km north of the city proper.

Alleged video of Congolese Armed forces retreating from Katana, just 10km north of the airport in Kavumu and 25km north of Bakuvu city:

Universities in Bukavu have began to shut down in anticipation of the arrival of M23 and Rwandan forces:

Conflict In The Congo sounds like the cheesey name Don King would have titled one of Muhammad Ali's fights in the 1970s, lol.
You mean like the Rumble in the Jungle, where Ali fought Foreman with a show by James Brown and hosted by Mobutu Sese Seko (whose overthrow was a major part of the First Congo War?

M23 have captured Kavumu and its airport, which has been used by the Congolese air force as a base in the fight against M23:

Previously the Congolese armed forces had made a big deal about how they would defend the airport at all costs and push the Rwandans out of the DRC, but it seems they have instead decided to continue their retreat.

A few days ago the Congolese armed forces opened up a military tribunal to investigate units who have been fleeing from the enemy, as well as to address recent reports of mass rape and massacres in places like Kavumu by the units of the Congolese armed forces:

Following the capture of Kavumu, M23 has entered Bukavu:

BBC Article on M23 entering Bukavu:

History Legends is best known for his videos on the Russo-Ukrainian War (and often soyfacing in the thumbnail for some reason), but a few days ago he uploaded a 42-minute video on the M23-RDF offensive that ultimately captured Goma. The Rwandans being far better-equipped, motivated & disciplined compared to their enemies (and able to build much nicer forts) aside, apparently the rebels & their Rwandan backers broke the final Congolese defensive lines with a number of unforeseen flanking maneuvers and even an amphibious assault across Lake Kivu.
