So when the going got just a little tuff the M23 gave up? What pussies.
Let's be fair here - in their defense, they are niggers.

Anyway, that peace agreement didn't break down at the last minute, and has now been formally signed. (Archive) So that seems to be the end of that, at least for a little while. Worth noting however that this is not the first such occasion, M23 specifically (to say nothing of the 1,000,000+ other rebel militias infesting the eastern Congo) already previously seemingly gave up & fucked off back in 2013. Obviously, that was no longer the case after about a decade of rebuilding in the (relatively speaking) cold with Rwandan aid. Only God knows how long this deal will last, it could be a year or it could be a decade like last time, but sooner or later I expect this thread will have reason to return to life.

I feel as if the conflict in zaire is beginning to calm down due to the main components of the issue being settled. Nearly all of the Rwandan government in exile who took part in the 95 genocide are either dead or imprisoned/ pardoned in Rwanda. Once they were out of the equation killing Tutsis became unpopular as doing so would have Rwanda special forces wipe out half your village. All you have left is kagame being a spiteful prick an destabilizing the area with little gain for the west. Despite how bad the DRC is the west(Just the US at this point) needs the critical minerals an rare metals provided by the DRC. The conflict is nowhere done but it is in the wests best interests to bring an end to it for the good boy points with the DRC.
