While doing research for another thread, I got reminded of Cookie Run because the guy I was writing about liked one of the cookies.
Anyways, I got distracted and eventually landed upon this article, stating that Devsisters tried to expand into the Indian market:

English Translation/Archive
Original Korean/Archive
The article mentions that Devsisters's current income stream relies on one IP, Cookie Run; I bring this up because while I can't find it, I remember reading an article years ago (I think some time before CR: OB) that mentioned the reliance on Cookie Run as a major weakness for Devsisters.

Devsisters also apparently partnered with KRAFTON, the Korean video game publisher behind PUBG, and worked with them to advertise the game in India:

Sorry Devsisters, I don't think the saars will redeem the cookie:

In fact, ever since the Cookie Run: Ovenbreak 6th Anniversary update, the Devsisters stock price has been steadily declining, to the point that if you were one of the original investors, you would have actually lost money:

And I'm pretty sure the decline can be tied to that update, since the peak of the stock is before the 6th anniversary of Cookie Run: OvenBreak (October 27, 2016)

(previous dip seems to be related to the Season 6 drama)
Devsisters is a public company on the KOSDAQ, so if you want to confirm these screenshots, you can simply search "Devsisters stock" and see what I saw.
I also found some Reddit posts describing this shitshow, along with an article on Namu Wiki (along with a machine-translated version) discussing the update (for a Korean perspective), but I haven't read them to see if they contain anything new / not covered in the OP.

I predict more greedy, short-term-gain type of actions in the rest of the year, but who knows? Anyways, a lesson to learn about why you should not piss off most of your fanbase, especially your veteran/long-time fans.
I'm working on a thread regarding everyone who was part of the Lewd House, a NSFW discord server for Splatoon Garry's Mod artists that had minors in it. One of these "artists" was RasmusH47, who has a Pixiv and uploaded an Inkling version of Peach Cookie (along with an NSFW version)
