I just realized that this game reminds me a lot of the recent anime
Akudama Drive. It revolves around this dystopian society after a major war where the characters are the aformentontioned Akudama. They're criminals who break the laws of society and the show revolves around a heist to this 'utopia' known in the show as Kanasai, which is portrayed to the mere commoners as a land of wonder, so much so that they literally pray to the train that delivers goods to their shithole from this utopian paradise. Their shithole is brightly colored and peppy and everything is paid with creds and real money is rare.
Its pretty much a similar story: They have to steal from this advanced 'utopia' (which of course, in true Cyberpunk fashion has some very threatening and evil vibes to it). The catch is
the job was set up from the 'thing' they were supposed to steal: Two kids who are immortal and serve as 'offerings' to this paradise. Shit goes sideways right quick as the enforcers of the law want to capture these offerings and send them back to the 'utopia'. It draws a lot of western influence (So much so that all the episode names are Hollywood movies that have something to do with the episode. The first episode is titled 'Reservoir Dogs' and introduces the cast).
The thing is, while still being brightly colored, it still has the 'feel' of cyberpunk. It goes to show, even with a similar story and a brightly colored neon backdrop, you can still do it. Which is why Cyberpunk feels so flat in that regard. I don't know, maybe they'll do some story DLC which will feel more punkish once they get (very far) away from Keanu.
Well, yeah the voice thing was obviously a band-aid because trannies complained about having a normal gender choice. They're not going to rerecord all the main character's dialogue with trans actors or reprogram the game to have a character refer to you with pronouns that contradict the voice it was programmed to go with.
These people don't play games so they have no idea what goes into it. They can make a text-based RPG if that's what they want, because its a lot easier to change with text than voice. But they're fundamentally retarded and no one actually wants or cares about this, which is why it doesn't exist.
Has anyone tested out if you can romance Judy with a big dick no.2 Chad using a female voice?
No idea, but that'll probably be modded in. Gender is probably just a basic flag, which you just set 'false' to 'true' for female voiced characters.
