Cyberpunk 2077 Grieving Thread

Been fucking around with it. Not too glitchy on my end, but, in terms of NPC and shit , bland. One thing that I noticed is how the clothes act. Like appearing nude when fully clothed, or clothed when nude. No reaction to walking around nude either. No comments about it at all from NPCs, and the game just makes you clothed I think. The game determines your gender on voice alone. Made a female character with a "masculine" voice, and the characters are treating me like a man. So far, glad I pirated it. Might be a little more fun later.

Well, yeah the voice thing was obviously a band-aid because trannies complained about having a normal gender choice. They're not going to rerecord all the main character's dialogue with trans actors or reprogram the game to have a character refer to you with pronouns that contradict the voice it was programmed to go with.

Has anyone tested out if you can romance Judy with a big dick no.2 Chad using a female voice?

I just realized that this game reminds me a lot of the recent anime Akudama Drive. It revolves around this dystopian society after a major war where the characters are the aformentontioned Akudama. They're criminals who break the laws of society and the show revolves around a heist to this 'utopia' known in the show as Kanasai, which is portrayed to the mere commoners as a land of wonder, so much so that they literally pray to the train that delivers goods to their shithole from this utopian paradise. Their shithole is brightly colored and peppy and everything is paid with creds and real money is rare.

Its pretty much a similar story: They have to steal from this advanced 'utopia' (which of course, in true Cyberpunk fashion has some very threatening and evil vibes to it). The catch is the job was set up from the 'thing' they were supposed to steal: Two kids who are immortal and serve as 'offerings' to this paradise. Shit goes sideways right quick as the enforcers of the law want to capture these offerings and send them back to the 'utopia'. It draws a lot of western influence (So much so that all the episode names are Hollywood movies that have something to do with the episode. The first episode is titled 'Reservoir Dogs' and introduces the cast).

The thing is, while still being brightly colored, it still has the 'feel' of cyberpunk. It goes to show, even with a similar story and a brightly colored neon backdrop, you can still do it. Which is why Cyberpunk feels so flat in that regard. I don't know, maybe they'll do some story DLC which will feel more punkish once they get (very far) away from Keanu.

These people don't play games so they have no idea what goes into it. They can make a text-based RPG if that's what they want, because its a lot easier to change with text than voice. But they're fundamentally retarded and no one actually wants or cares about this, which is why it doesn't exist.

No idea, but that'll probably be modded in. Gender is probably just a basic flag, which you just set 'false' to 'true' for female voiced characters.

Is this the creator of Cyberpunk who is talking?

Looks like it came from a hacked channel. Before these streams, the channel was posting car videos. All the titles are in Vietnamese. The person in them is also speaking Vietnamese.

Here's a Vietnamese comment:

Crypto scammers are piggybacking off this game's hype when they aren't oppressing gamers.

Oh man, I can just imagine the Twitter REEEing, Buzzfeed and Kotaku articles complaining about lesbian erasure by CHUD gators and mods need to be banned.

Have been playing only around 3 hours so far because of IRL coming between me and gaming. So far, I am enjoying it. It has some bugs here and there, which is a pain. Night City is full of atomphers as well. Even on medium, the game look great. Able to play it stabil on my laptop which is nice.

On the expected reaction from viddaya geem germbalists. If tl;dw, you can just start at 4:00.

The funny part is everyone hates games journos. Even my progtard family member who is a gamer doesn't even read reviews anymore. So they're basically killing themselves over this. I don't even know how they're relevant anymore.

Can someone describe me how badly coded this game is?
From BHVR ‐--------------‐ to Rockstar level of coding where does Cyberpunk land?

I just have to post again because Jackie is fucking INFURATING in fights. I'm playing on the hardest difficulty, so I lose a ton of HP, not to mention I'm RPing as a skinny hacker nomad with no body and strength. His fat fucking ass is ALWAYS in my way. He is borderline useless and only good as cover. Even worse the enemies ignore him and he is always wandering in your line of fire or always walking in front of you in fights. To make matters worse if his hitbox crosses and you've lined up the shot, the game stops you from firing. He's incompetent, useless and only there as a piece of cover. Just have him hang back, exposed. Nobody is looking at him, nobody cares. Its better than hugging his ass into my face when I'm trying to headshot people.

When the fuck will games companies learn to cut this shit out? Why are FPS companions still shit?

Played it for a while, heres my impression so far.

# on my 1660 i can run high settings in 60fps on 1080p, only thing that drops frames is driving fast through certain areas, this is probably the best looking game ive ever played
# im playing witout the day 1 patch, despite that after 7 hours i counted 1 mission trigger bug a couple of misaligned models 4-6) and a couple of missed animations (3-4)

+ world design is phenomenal, NC feels hudge witout actually being tedious to traverse, this is probably the best realized city in fiction
+ mission structure is very good, everything flows well and even in its weakest moments (shooting from a car) the game is pretty exciting, looks like there are a lot of diverging paths
+ character design is on the next level, supported by neat procedural animation tech
+ well written characters, story and suplementary dialogue/text
+ staying in fpp is very immersive while not presenting any drawbacks i expected
+ shooting is really good, not just "for an rpg" but in general, also there isnt as much of it as some might expect
+ customization is well done, despite you not seeing yourself very often whenever ypu actually doo its neat
+ music is meaty, that goes for both the ost and radio
+ getting skill specific exp for actions is fucking amazing and encourages you to use everything in your arsenal

- the game is actually overwhelming at times
- driving sensitivity on a keyboard is not great on lower speed, cars are very physical which wont be appealing to everyone
- dialogue doesnt give you all that many "golden" dialogue options outside of story choices, on the flipsade every choice you make feels impactful
- stealth is probably underwhelming
- i dont understand why the timer for hacking starts only when you click the first node, kinda makes it pointless
- im struggling to write more things here as to appear objective

And now a special message for every lingering rentfree autist itt: i was right, you were wrong, suck my dick 1.

Been playing a bit since yesterday. I randomized the character creator and ended up with some gross looking gold/yellow fingernail polish that looked like a fungal infection. Because the whole thing is first person, you see your hands a ton, so I ended up restarting. I'm on PS4 and haven't noticed a ton of bugs yet, but I'm only a couple of hours in.
The randomized characters are monstrosities.

Nigguh play the videogame, it looks absolutely stunning. Why?
- theres a big focus on light, even without raytracing (that i absloutely can't run)
- another thing that stands out are crisp and layered textures, there are a lot of reflections, you can zoom in really closely and everything looks really sharp
- game is filled with color that doesnt look offensive because of the aforementioned lighting, ive seen a lot of games that try to do cyberpunk only to come out looking like a lsd rainbow
thats techinical, designwise the world feels coherent and "real" theres a purpose to the detail at display
The 4 styles that were advertized before release are not a meme, they are clearly recognizeable, unique and just really goddamn good
Ive heard this somewhere before but YT videos really dont show the game as it looks in action because of compression, if you want to actually judge it your best bet would be downscaled 4k footage or just screens.
Cant say how it looks on consoles but if you expect a 7 year old shitbox to run this as well as a decent PC youre really >not smart<

I dont care what you dont care about, talk to me not around me pussy.

I have never ever seen actual Cyberpunk like that, with some retarded social justice anarcho communist message. It's fucking retarded.

While they are rarely the focus of the story, classic works of Cyberpunk do have portrayals of different kinds of activists and anarchists, who usually aid the protagonists in some ways. For example in the aforementioned Neuromancer you have a group of "New Modernists"(Or perhaps they were called "Panthermodernists", it's a long time since I read this one last time.), people who try to turn themselves to mild real life furries(face and eye modifications that make you look like some animal), and who engage in causing chaos simply because they think it's fun. Other such group in this book is the Space Rastafarians, who are literally Rastafarians living in their own, home-made space station, where they grow ganja, get high and play dub in eternal loop.
