Is it possible that Phil actually just wants people to be nice to him? It's pretty clear that he's starting to break, and he's said several times now that he doesn't have any friends. He might just be desperate enough where he's painting himself as a victim to get pity points from his audience. It also has the added benefit of bringing in more donations too. I really think it's more of an attention thing, he's egging it on further by saying shit like "nobody has actually guessed it yet, but I'm still not going to tell you even though I am acknowledging that I'm aware you're all talking about it."
DSP does seem to be on edge, what with another up until gone 4am night & claiming his "entire mind and body are spent". I'll also point out that DSP no longer wants to play Jackbox games or Use Your Words, ever since he got trolled hard 2 days in a row in late May with Leanna jokes before he'd announced they'd broken up. He claims there's 'nothing left to play' in them, but I think he just doesn't want more trolling about Leanna or his financial situation.

I'm assuming Phil got the loan for his house based upon his and Leanna's income. I assume he'd also have to provide documentation about how he was going to pay for it (print outs of his YouTube channel no doubt).
Leanna had no income when they setup the move in early to mid 2014, DSP acts like she wasn't sure what her home business would be (eventually being soap, but could have been arts & crafts?) after the move.
As for how he got the mortgage approved, he did vaguely whine about how much effort it was to prove his income, having repeated calls with people & complaining how they were behind the times in understanding Internet income. Considering DSPGaming was on a downward turn since mid 2012 anyway, I'm amazed he got the mortgage approved. By late 2014 or 2013 I think DSP was claiming his income had 'leveled out' and he could feel confident in how much money he'd be getting over a year. In practice, privately by late 2014 he must have been considering Patreon after that Ask the King question earlier in the year & his infamous Layton vs. Wright "BUSTING MY ASS!" prestream.

https://youtu.be/I6WhIBQFT3Y

The link goes to a 1/25/2016 pre stream (conveniently deleted by Phil but saved by Fred Fuchs) where Phil explicitly states that it's Youtube & NOT the "little kids that try to fuck with him" that screwed over his business. The relevant part is 13:20 - 14:05. Unfortunately I'm on a mobile device & can't paste a video at a certain time.
DSP flipflops on whether it's those Google/YouTube hipsters with their book smarts or if it's those danged dirty detractors that ruined the 'business' depending on his mood & whatever point he's trying to push. To put this in perspective, January 2016 is less than 3 months after the search tanking after deleting those videos was explained to him, and barely a month after YouTube Red got everyone to kill grandfathered views contracts for ad revenue, so it's the first time DSP is making the poor January ad rev CPM on YouTube.

It really isn't difficult to save up and judging by stuff EddyB posts he makes on average $3000 a month. At least $2000 on bad months and sometimes he gets lucky and gets up to $4000 a month. Thats enough for bills and to save up, but he doesn't save, he spends it on dumb shit like dollar store things and expensive restaurants or mobile games (He admitted on the supercard forums to having spent up to 3k before ragequitting).
You've got this way wrong and in a scary way - DSP's income is MUCH higher. I'm only tracking cheers, subs & now trying to track tips. July's ~$2000 cheers/subs plus $1000 in tips just around the Rockstar false copyright strikes let alone tips through the rest of the month according to DSP was NOT as much as his YouTube income. Meanwhile August with the record ~$3000 cheers/subs & over $700 tips for just 1/3rd of the month's streams I was able to track WAS more than his YouTube income... and DSP claimed his August YouTube ad revenue CPM had gone up slightly vs. July.
What this means is DSP's implying his YouTube ad revenue income for July & August were over $3000 but likely under $4000. Let's keep this simple & guess both were $3,500 (August DSPGaming total views down slightly from 1.92mn to 1.85mn), add ~$1,000 for Patreon (DSP wants $1,250 remember) and we've got ~$3.5K YouTube, $3K+ Twitch & $1000+ Patreon for a ridiculous $7.5K+ monthly income.

Let's end on the September current running Twitch total: Over $1600 in cheers/subs & over $2000 in tips... and I'm missing stuff like random sub $2 not shown on screen tips & I deliberately skipped a $5 & $20 tip DSP mentioned on prestreams as being sent overnight, I'll add those & similar as a 'bonus' at the end of the month.

I watched some of his stream yesterday and he's such a sad bitter man nowadays to a point where it's not even fun to watch anymore. This might be an unpopular opinion but he's stream/ his regular content is not even worth watching at this point. He used to get salty over the game, which was fun but now he gets mad at everything (chat, mods, life). On the other end, the vlogs and EMERGENCIES are pure gold.
It's so obvious looking at him that he's not well. The guy needs a serious break and not just a staycation. Any sane person would do it or at least consult but this is good old Phil we're talking about so of course he's not going to.
He put himself in a corner with bad decisions after bad decisions. If he wasn't so hard headed and narcissistic he'd be able to see that there are some ways out. For exemple, he's convinced that if he doesn't stream for a day it's a day he can't pay his bills while in reality if one of his fanboy plans on giving Phil $50 this month, he's going to find a way to do it.

Even though it's Phil, losing your home is always a shitty thing but it's his goddamn fault (directly or indirectly). He backed himself in this corner buy buying it and not selling the condo. So I guess he deserves it.

The best thing he could do is sell his shit house as fast as possible, move back to those mean streets of CT and "start anew from there.
EMERGENCY I'M MOVING BACK TO CT! NEED YOUR SUPPORT NOW!!!

His life is a perfect exemple of what not to do.

SEE YOU GOUT COWBOY

Hell give me 7k a month and I'll fly to Norway and get BSV free exposure (before calling the cops)

Shitty, you say?

Get fucked, Gout Boi. He deserves it.
It is shitty to lose your house, but you know what softens that blow? Having a second fucking house. There is a reason he refuses to move back to Connecticut and it is not taxes. If he thinks it will make him look like a failure why does he think groveling for pity bucks every day makes him look like a success? Maybe he would actually feel shame if he had to look in his parents eyes. Last time he saw them was when his Homefront video took off so his inflated ego probably made him talk all kinds of shit. 6 months later he is panhandling for pennies on Twitch. Someone should blindside him by asking if his parents know what he does and what they think about it.

Of course he can‘t make it work with 7,5k monthly

He couldn‘t make it work with his best friend who supported him through and trough

He couldn‘t make it work with a girlfriend who loved him despite his flaws

He couldn‘t make it work with fans who wanted to see DSP succeed in life. Most of them are detractors now.

This might be an unpopular opinion but he's stream/ his regular content is not even worth watching at this point.

No you have to understand. Watch the stream with all that shit going on. Watch the man who had everything going for him who now has to deal with his bad decisions and can‘t even sound a bit enthusiastic when he gets a big cheer now.

There are big bad things coming to him and he knows that. Watch a man who destroyed his life.

Phil, like all lolcows, has uncanny luck that just about always saves him from the consequences of being a complete moron. As always, I'll assume he's grossly exaggerating his current troubles and/or will end up fine regardless.

If the dumb fuck would sell his big, empty house and move back to his condo, he could easily stretch out his e-begging free-ride another several years. Phil doesn't even realize that doing so would solve the majority of his problems, and his quality of life would go way up overall. So, even in the worst case scenario, Gouty moves back to CT, and resumes turbo-begging as always.

From what I can tell he also has a dedicated server or VPS. I vaguely remember reading/watching something when he went on about how expensive it was.

Seeing his comcast situation, wouldn't surprise me in the least if Phil is paying somewhere in the region of $1-200 USD a month just for hosting when with the amount of traffic he has he could get away with something like $20-30 USD
Webhosting wise, my understanding is DSP used to pay ~$3K/year but after the original Teo? & Mighty Furtado forums went down the Beechey & later Hazz3r resurrected forums never got the same amount of traffic, so it was a waste.
I vaguely recall Onyx saying he'd get DSP a cheaper hosting deal and DSP claimed it was half the price - so ~$1.5K/year. I have no hard evidence for these numbers though, only thing I do have is a screencap of a WHOIS lookup I did back in July 2016 which implied it was now hosted by Hetzner, previously it was hosted directly by GoDaddy?
TKOH domain hosted by Hetzner, DNS still registered to GoDaddy.png

See a pattern here? there are obviously older games that didn't yield for notorious playthroughs (classic Megaman, surprisingly. He struggled a lot more with the X series) as well as newer games that did yield for far more infamous playthroughs but still.
Older games seem to cause more trouble for Phil, most likely because they were designed for a different audience
DSP claimed he played a couple of the Mega Man NES games back in the day, maybe 2&3 or 3&4? So he had some experience. Otherwise I agree with this logic, there's much more fun from salty DSP playing older, tougher games. Chat can't handhold you through Ninja Gaiden 1 NES's final bosses.

7k a month in this economy and he cant make it work? This guy is such an idiot. There must be a sink hole of credit card interest that sucks the money away or something.
I should clarify that this number is what DSP implies. I'd be astonished after adpocalypse & with under 2 million monthly total views on DSPGaming (likely a good chunk lower as monetized views) he's getting $3K+ monthly in YouTube ad revenue. I always figured it was under $2K/month since adpocalypse, he only hinted it this way when he compared his July & August Twitch income to YouTube.
I'd honestly expect he's at more like $5-6K monthly income... and somehow that's treading water. Remember there's $1.5K/month each for his condo lease & 'house' mortgage (stated in the business update e-begging vlogs last winter), $400+/month dual business Internet, new car payment, cell service for his iPhone, health insurance, 2 business loans (stated back in the Scarface Q&A & I believe the followup State of DSP last summer), who knows how much in credit cards (DSP intended to buy 2015's camera stretch goal on his credit card & use the Patreon $750 excess to pay it off slowly). DSP's always kept vague how much he pays quarterly as guesstimated taxes up front, so DSP chewing through $5K+ per month sadly does not surprise me.

In my opinion Phil should stick to fighting games. It's the only time he plays a game when he's not solely obsessed with views/$$$. His pride is on the line every time because he cares so much.

Of course, some of his "best" non-fighting game playthroughs were back in peak-Phil circa 2011, like Madden '12 and Supremacy MMA. You know, back when he would use words like gay and exceptional liberally when reacting to game mechanics, which is almost unheard of now. Before he started cleaning up his language and falling back to dumb singing and droning "uuuuuuhhh." Before he started streaming and relying on chat to tell him what to do.

Look at this:
This is prime Phil without stream chat, it's pure gold and insanely entertaining how completely befuddled and enraged he is by a simple puzzle mechanic in Castlevania: Lords of Shadow. This is what people want to see from him, not some fake dancing to Sonic music or reading Danganronpa dialogue.
I'd watch his shit everyday if this was his business production. He claims that everyone else is a materialist clown, and then dances like a spastic in a pre-ordered Sonic hat.
If he just shut the chat off, put on an action videogame, and had a couple sips of gin his views would skyrocket.

7k a month and he destroys that income in the following ways:

1. Too retarded to buy a house instead of renting condos.
1a. Renting said condos in two expensive states to live in.
1b. Insisting on keeping both, since too retarded to cut losses and too arrogant to get out while still profiting.

2. Too retarded to use the bus or a bike instead of buying or renting new cars.
2b. Renting newest models or more quality automakers.

3. Too retarded to not juggle credit cards
3a. Paying the minimum and letting them accumulate.
3b. Paying debt off with more credit cards.

4. Too retarded to not buy namebrand shit.
4a. Spends on the most expensive version because mo money = mo quality

5. Too retarded to not impulse buy plastic figurines like a goddamn child.
5a. Demanding more money than they are worth in spite of damage.

6. Too retarded to cook cheap ass food.
6a. Going to fast food joints or using TV dinners instead.

7. Too retarded to just get one good commercial line.
7a. Pay for shit you don't use like the phone.

8. Too retarded to not spend crazily on games for day 1 views.
8a. Spending money on free to play mobile games to guarantee wins
8b. Not filming it for more buku bucks.
8c. Not exploiting Humble bundle for games to play on the cheap.

And there's how you piss away 7k per month. The gin probably don't help either since I've seen people throw thousands down the hole for booze.

If the dumb fuck would sell his big, empty house and move back to his condo, he could easily stretch out his e-begging free-ride another several years. Phil doesn't even realize that doing so would solve the majority of his problems, and his quality of life would go way up overall.

Oh my god dude, you don't understand, there's an initial cost to move back to CT, and he wouldn't be able to sell all his stuff in time to move, and if he didn't sell his stuff, it would cost him like 7k to move it all to CT.

(never mind the fact that he'd recoup the total cost of the move in a couple of months of not having to pay for two homes)

It's just too damned expensive.
And their taxes are higher. And he wouldn't have an 'office'.

So where's the 7k a month going?
1. Mortgage for CT Condo. Likely around 1000/mo on a 20 year mortgage
2. Condo fees on CT Condo. I believe his condo assn fees there are 200/mo
3. I will assume the CT Condo assn requires the condo have basic utilities even if unused. 50/mo electric and water (especially necessary in winter to prevent pipes freezing)
4. Taxes on CT Condo. Likely 3k every year/12 months 250 per month
5. Lets rinse and repeat for the WA condo but lets increase the utilities
6. Working electric on WA condo. 150/mo
7. Working water on WA condo 50/mo
8. Business internet 200/mo
9. Bundle TV/Internet/Phone 150/mo (since he doesnt strike me as the type to negotiate his rates after the promo period is over)
So right now we're at 3550/mo just in the most basic of bills. We havent bought games, paid for a website, paid for WWE subscriptions, or paid any debt. So lets work on the debt

1. Car Payment. Lets assume he got one hell of a rate. 300/mo
2. "Business Loans" This is a real enigma. The business loans could have been 5k or could have been 50k. Lets hit the low end of the spectrum. Loans being plural means more than 1. So lets give Phil the benefit of the doubt and give him 2 business loans at the low end figure. 10k worth of business loans. Lets have him pay just the interest and not touch the principle of the business loan. 150/mo just in business loan interest
3. Credit cards which he's said are multiple cards, and he's said they're maxed. Lets give him another 10k of debt and just paying the interest on these cards, never touching the principle. 150/mo in credit card interest.
Now if he touches the principle on the credit card debt we can easily double or triple the credit card payment. Lets double it and have him be somewhat responsible and make some payment towards the principle.
4. Website. Its been established he has a dedicated server protected by cloudflare. 150/mo for the website
5. Xbox Live and Playstation Plus. 30 bucks a month to play vidya games online

Now without paying for a webmaster for the website or buying a single game himself, we're at almost 4200 dollars a month. We havent bought groceries, paid for gas on the car, car insurance, homeowners insurance, and still no games. Lets add in more expenses.

1. Car insurance. Lets assume a low rate. About 100/mo for full coverage for a car with a note still on it.
2. Homeowners insurance. Lets assume he's using the same company to get a lower rate. 50/mo
3. Groceries from Trader Joes. Considering how he gets everything precooked, and all those ingredients for the sauce. 400/mo in groceries (I think this is low considering that V8 energy drink out there)
4. Gas for car. Fatass doesnt leave the house much except to get more food. Lets call it 40/mo in gas
5. Phone payments. That Iphone isnt cheap. And I will guarantee that he doesnt have a pay as you go plan. 100/mo for the phone service. Another 50/mo that they tack on for new phone cost.

We're getting close to 5k a month going off of very low figures and we havent even bought one game yet.

So lets use the past month of games that he's bought. This isnt the "hardcore gaming season" purchases yet. I'm seeing at least 2 AAA new game purchases a week, much less smaller games. So lets say this past month he's spent 600 dollars in video games this month

He also claims to pay for Obamacare. Lets put him on the el-cheapo plan. 200/mo

5800/mo is what he's spent. 5800 is a VERY conservative figure. Only Phil can blow through that kind of cash in a month. No wonder he's always scared. When his basic expenses are more than most american households make for 2 people, and he's STILL crying poor. Someone making 68k a year at LEAST is crying poor. And we havent gotten into his love for fast food and mobile game microtransactions. And we havent gotten into any expenses that he doesnt disclose, or if he does save up for tax season.

Normal people:
"So I'm gonna start the stream now but the fire alarm guys have to come and test a few things so I might need to have a 30-45 minute long break but then i'll be straight back!"

DSP:
"THERE'S A FIRE ALARM GUY COMING TODAY AND I'M NOT SURE WHEN BUT I CANNOT DO ANYTHING AT ALL UNTIL THE FIRE ALARM MAN HAS BEEN TO THE HOUSE! OH NO HE'S RUNNING LATE WELP GUESS IM JUST GONNA HAVE TO CAN THE FIRST STREAM TODAY GUYZ!!!"

upload_2017-9-23_1-37-40.png

Is he seriously incapable of multitasking? Why is everything with him such an "end of the world" situation? Its a guy coming to push a few fucking buttons on a fire alarm panel and spray some fumes into it. It isn't world war 3.

Like I'd fully understand if he said he was going to use the opportunity to just take a bit of a break with all the shit that's happening to him, but as usual, the way he represents it is like people who watch his stream need such an elaborate explanation and not only that why this elaborate explanation is of such importance that he can't just stream and take a break when they actually fucking come.

I've legit used a package arriving at home as an excuse to be late for work, because I actually need to be there, so it's a decent excuse. But fuck Phil. You're at home today. You're at home tomorrow. You'll be at home next week, next month and next year. You never go out, so delaying your 'business' because of a fucking fire alarm test is just exceptional.
