Wait is Ezra "I'm going to choke a pregnant bitch" Miller still playing Flash. No why am I watching a movie with that freak.

Grace Randolph can go suck a lemon. She's cute but she has awful takes and sounds like Harley Quinn's retarded little sister.

In a world full of hot busty latinas, WB goes out and gets the dykiest-looking one they can possibly find. I guess ESG takes breast size and beauty into account when doling out those woke dollars.

I wouldn't mind as much if they could act. Lately it seems networks are leaning toward "girlboss" energy. Smug, shit-eating, head-bobbing motions. It's like they found a K-Mart cashier one write-up away from termination and gave them a TV series.

Remember, the characters reflect who the writers are.

I won't lie that's not bad. In fact it looks dare I say good? At least looks better than CW's abortion known as Batwoman.
Well both Batwoman and Batgirl's outfits are true to the comics (bar the bright red hair which is Kate Kane's actual hair in the comics and was a wig in S1 Batwoman). I grant you this one for Batgirl does look a lot less cheap than the TV Batwoman costume, but it's pretty dumb from a practicality point of view. "Hmm - I would like to be able to hide and sneak around. I know, purple and yellow!" It's not even the little dash of yellow that Batman has on his chest on reinforced body armour, but the full on lining of the cape.

Aside from my complaints stealth above; Burnside Batgirl is possibly the least believable version of the character there is. And yes, I'm including the old B:TaS version where she was a young teenager built like a stick insect. Because at least that version relied on stealth and practical ideas. Burnside spends half her time walking around town in full bright costume and taking selfies with fans. She once beat the crap out of some guys who were playing a board game because they were wearing US flag colours and were Right Wing. No, I am not twisting that - it's literally what happens.

Batgirl had a good character progression - she became Oracle after the joker paralysed her. And the reason it was good because she's not Batman and couldn't become Batwoman (a different person entirely). I don't think any iteration of her could take over from him because she's Batgirl - she can't fight the way he can, she certainly can't intimidate the way he can. Nor does she really try to (to her credit). Now BatWOMAN could take over from Batman (the comics version, not the TV version; and as a vigilante not a JL member). Batgirl and Batwoman have fought in the comics and Batgirl got her arse handed to her. She was way outclassed by Batwoman who is basically a Special Forces soldier. The only way in which Batgirl can really take over from Batman is as a detective - which she excels at. And which Oracle allows her to do.

Barbara Gordon also has a somewhat natural nemesis as well just like Batman has Joker. Her counterpart is Riddler. There's even a comic where he attempts to ask her out through a series of insane riddles and traps that only she is smart enough to solve. She's a good character and I like her. But I don't think it works as an older version of her. She should and would outgrow the role of Batgirl. Which is why Oracle is the best progression for her. I'm also unconvinced in this Leslie Grace person. I'm not seeing Batgirl in her.

I will be honest, I actually really love the new Batgirl outfit and never got why people hated it. If they go with this design, I am okay with it.

I think the new design helps distinguish her from the Bat-family now that we have another prominent female in Batwoman. The design is also a really good callback to her 60s, Adam West, appearance. It feels like they updated what was already a pretty good design from that show into the modern era.

Maybe I am just used to the design as it has been used a ton in LEGO, both the Batman movie and DC Supervillains game, but I hope they keep this and iterate rather than fall back on the black design again.

I think I just like the traditional looks for characters. I really wish Supergirl followed this more often nowadays as the skirt, even if lame on a superhero, looks so much more aesthetically pleasing to me than the weird Amazing Spider-man full blue suit she dawned in Injustice 2 and now the new JL movie.

The costume looks better than expected even if it's drawn from the worst Batgirl era literally written by a sex pest.

The White Knight one would have been better, honestly, and I'm not sold on Leslie Grace. But her post on it at least quoted Batgirl: Year One, which was some good Chuck Dixon written work. So who knows. I've preferred deranged emo Bruce Wayne over ripped Batman in the movies forever, so maybe I can accept a "different" Batgirl. Maybe.

CW is filled with shit costumes, why should HBO be any different.

Those shoes are an odd choice. Doesn't exactly scream grace and agility.🦇 Maybe this is a prototype suit in-storyline.
after season 8 of Game of Thrones I really shouldn't expect quality from HBO, and yet I was hoping they would at least give me something better. Hopefully like you said this is the first suit and she gets a better looking one down the line, hopefully its not at the end of the film

Sorry if it was already mentioned elsewhere but TheQuatering vlogged about the woke Superman who flopped big time.

One of the weirder things here is that Superman was created by two Jewish men whose parents had immigrated to America to escape pogroms. They created him in 1933, not really the best time in history to be a Jew, even in America, and according to Siegel, part of the reason behind his creation was to serve as a symbol of strength; their small way of trying to help others. In Jewish myth, the golem is a creature of clay made to protect the people of Prague during pogroms. Much in the exact same way, Shuster and Siegel created their man of steel to similarly serve as a symbol of protection and strength during a very dark time in history. To act like Superman needs to be replaced because "muh white male" kind of erases the Jewish heritage of his creators and what he represents and betrays a deep lack of familiarity with the history of American comic books.

Ehhh…Fuck it, why not?
If he does a good job then I really don’t have any problems. The real question will be whether they write him well in the trash fire that is CW Legends of Tomorrow. I am going to go in expecting the actor to be fine like most CW actors, but the script to be god awful. I hope the best for him, but likely the shit writing will kill the character.

yeah it's true. Superman is a symbol of Jewish-Americans. It's all embedded in his origins. I can't wait for the slap fight and hopefully watch the writer get butthurt over people calling him anti-semetic.
I'm not even surprised at this point, every other character is turned into a nigger because "muh diversity"
to be fair, if they adopt Booster's characterization from his early days, it fits in with niggers hustling.

and if they do that, I'm expecting a thousand "das raycissssss" posts on twitter and at least 3 articles whinging about it.

I liked Injustice when it originally came out, but similar to how I blame Whedon and the MCU's popularity for most franchaises trying to copy "The Marvel formula" I blame injustice for popularizing the "What if Superman was evil???????!!?!?!?" storyline, its been done to dead in the last few years
DC had their own "What If" line with the "Elseworlds." Where the what ifs are done outside of normal canonity. Afaik Elseworlds stories tended to be longer length. Going from one comic annual to four to six issue miniseries. Although the past several years DC outside of their animation division, done almost exactly what you posted plus replacing and dumping Elseworlds in the process.
