I wouldn't mind as much if they could act. Lately it seems networks are leaning toward "girlboss" energy. Smug, shit-eating, head-bobbing motions. It's like they found a K-Mart cashier one write-up away from termination and gave them a TV series. In a world full of hot busty latinas, WB goes out and gets the dykiest-looking one
I won't lie that's not bad. In fact it looks dare I say good? At least looks better than CW's abortion known as Batwoman. The first image of Leslie Grace in costume as Batgirl has been released

Well both Batwoman and Batgirl's outfits are true to the comics (bar the bright red hair which is Kate Kane's actual hair in the comics and was a wig in S1 Batwoman). I grant you this one for Batgirl does look a lot less cheap than the TV Batwoman costume, but it's pretty dumb from a practicality point of view. "Hmm - I would like to be able to hide and sneak around. I know, purple and yellow!" It's not even the little dash of yellow that Batman has on his chest on reinforced body armour, but the full on lining of the cape.I won't lie that's not bad. In fact it looks dare I say good? At least looks better than CW's abortion known as Batwoman.
Aside from my complaints stealth above; Burnside Batgirl is possibly the least believable version of the character there is. And yes, I'm including the old B:TaS version where she was a young teenager built like a stick insect. Because at least that version relied on stealth and practical ideas. Burnside spends half her time walking around town in full bright costume and taking selfies with fans. She once beat the crap out of some guys who were playing a board game because they were wearing US flag colours and were Right Wing. No, I am not twisting that - it's literally what happens. The first image of Leslie Grace in costume as Batgirl has been released

I will be honest, I actually really love the new Batgirl outfit and never got why people hated it. If they go with this design, I am okay with it.The first image of Leslie Grace in costume as Batgirl has been released

It's a bit janky considering the budget for the full season cost around $70 millionThe outfit looks cheap to me
The costume looks better than expected even if it's drawn from the worst Batgirl era literally written by a sex pest. The first image of Leslie Grace in costume as Batgirl has been released

after season 8 of Game of Thrones I really shouldn't expect quality from HBO, and yet I was hoping they would at least give me something better. Hopefully like you said this is the first suit and she gets a better looking one down the line, hopefully its not at the end of the filmCW is filled with shit costumes, why should HBO be any different.
Those shoes are an odd choice. Doesn't exactly scream grace and agility.Maybe this is a prototype suit in-storyline.

One of the weirder things here is that Superman was created by two Jewish men whose parents had immigrated to America to escape pogroms. They created him in 1933, not really the best time in history to be a Jew, even in America, and according to Siegel, part of the reason behind his creation was to serve as a symbol of strength; their small way of trying to help others. In Jewish myth, the golem is a creature of clay made to protect the people of Prague during pogroms. Much in the exact same way, Shuster and Siegel created their man of steel to similarly serve as a symbol of protection and strength during a very dark time in history. To act like Superman needs to be replaced because "muh white male" kind of erases the Jewish heritage of his creators and what he represents and betrays a deep lack of familiarity with the history of American comic books.
Ehhh…Fuck it, why not?
I'm not even surprised at this point, every other character is turned into a nigger because "muh diversity"
yeah it's true. Superman is a symbol of Jewish-Americans. It's all embedded in his origins. I can't wait for the slap fight and hopefully watch the writer get butthurt over people calling him anti-semetic.Sorry if it was already mentioned elsewhere but TheQuatering vlogged about the woke Superman who flopped big time.
One commenter dropped a comment worth to save for posterity.
to be fair, if they adopt Booster's characterization from his early days, it fits in with niggers hustling.I'm not even surprised at this point, every other character is turned into a nigger because "muh diversity"
DC had their own "What If" line with the "Elseworlds." Where the what ifs are done outside of normal canonity. Afaik Elseworlds stories tended to be longer length. Going from one comic annual to four to six issue miniseries. Although the past several years DC outside of their animation division, done almost exactly what you posted plus replacing and dumping Elseworlds in the process.I liked Injustice when it originally came out, but similar to how I blame Whedon and the MCU's popularity for most franchaises trying to copy "The Marvel formula" I blame injustice for popularizing the "What if Superman was evil???????!!?!?!?" storyline, its been done to dead in the last few years
