Catching up, but yes. I think the best playthroughs I've seen of DbD are Seananners and his buddies, where they do ridiculous shit. Like use voice changers to sound like Claptrap from Borderlands.

This is a free cosmetic update to win us back after all the recent turmoil btw. Literally an all-black smooth texture over chainsaw and clothes for everyone. Normal weapons not covered so it’ll look horrible. Not to mention Johnny and Sissy already wore black. Hiker and Cook will at least look different. Bubba is gonna look retarded. Big men almost always look weird in one color ensembles, prepare for the mighty chainsaw killer blob.

Hilariously low effort. Then again they are selling a new Sissy recolor for three bucks. They are somewhat more forthcoming about the cash out nature of the updates lately, which I honestly appreciate.

They also fucked up respeccing so you can get thousands of skill points for free if you want them. Victim queue times still through the roof, soloq family still fucking miserable. Ded gaem check back later. Killer klowns will bury Texas, but I doubt it’ll compete with dbd.

Edit:Bubba does not get an all black outfit. I mean, good call, but like… It’d have been something. They didn’t strike me as the types to not put in something because it’s dumb. Surely not balance wise. Maybe looks wise they are a bit more on the ball.

Honestly surprised no one is bitching about the switch to Unreal Engine 5, or the "Pay to win" skin DBD just released.

Horror, Inc (overlords of Jason) has just DMCA claimed multiple modded builds of F13 The Game that aimed to improve it with new content such as new mechanics, characters/Jason's & etc. Over 3 builds were struck down, which were: Complete Edition, a soon-to-be-released build "Resurrected", as well as another soon-to-be-released build known as "Summer Camp". They were also copyright claiming-videos on YouTube that talked about the build, trying to remove any existence of it.

They seriously want this game deader than Jason Voorhees himself, even with the lawsuit over they are still deadset on fucking anyone that dares to extend the lifespan of this game. I got to play Complete Edition before it shut-down & it was genuinely a blast, the shitty part is that a new version of CE was just about to be released before the DMCA.

Because it has to be reported. People who like this sort of content won't report it and people who could report it just share it around and complain about it.

Also, I've gone against the Were Elk and the song is in a different register, it's not that it's quieter it is harder to hear because it's basically a different person singing it. The getting ready to toss the axe is more quiet. It just means people facing the Were Elk have to look back! People who think the were elk is pay to win are grasping at straws when there is so much going on. Learn to play I guess? I have a lot of time but I am super casual in terms of meta I don't see this as pay to win. It's not a volume thing like some people are complaining about. It's more bassey than contralto that's all. Yeah it might be hard for newer players, but what isn't in this game honestly? It's not easy for new players already. Maybe they will learn to turn around? Oh well.

Seriously though, I'm so casual I don't know what do to with Sadako now, they keep changing it. Do I hold the tape, carry it to the new tv, or ignore it now?

I dunno from the few matches i've seen so far you can safely ignore it since it and the RBT are timewasters.

Devs nerfed the secondary methods of killing except for PH.

no one's formed a single agreed-upon GG beyond entering chat and saying it
the only universally accepted form of "gm" is dropping your item before leaving which means you lose your item
ultimately, you're risking getting hit by blood warden so you should prioritize gtfo if you don't intend on doing hook saves

I'm on console, so no chat unfortunately. And I only like playing killer. I have had a couple of people drop their items at the gate, so they must have had fun looping me into oblivion at least!

So long as you stand right back nodding and don't get into the gate entrance, nodding and getting gifts would be civil... yes. would be civil then. Although your time of day might effect it. I find people are usually more up to playing and dare I say it, having fun with the game late nights/early mornings. Middle of the day it would be toxic. Like I said, 50/50. And whichever killer you are playing too. That's just toxic from the start even if you don't kill anyone. And don't nod too many times, it's probably rude.

I actually went and checked it out and it's much harder to hear on my TV speakers compared to my $$$ headphones. I assume that's why people are complaining. Small, crappy speakers don't do a good job in that range.
