i'm one of those autists that revisited Valve games a second time for the developer commentary just to hear insight on how the design philosophy resulted in L4D, TF2 and HL/Portal maps/levels and i would hate to know what a developer commentary has to say for what we're seeing now.Where's the goddamn visual contrast? REEEEEEEE
granted things could still change, but this practice of repackaging derivative concepts in a new coat of paint is something i associate more with Riot's development philosophy while i expect Valve to not similarly chase after trends (especially after Artifact) and to do something cooler than this (like updating TF2).
