I don't know why you'd want to die on foreign soil when you could be doing something positive at home. Lot's of vets chimed in here but take this one from a civvy who's never gotten close to serving in police or military.

If you aren't a retard, drug addict, or mentally insane, go to a volunteer fire department off a major highway (we need fit bodies). We don't get paid and the state doesn't do much except fund some shit (despite this being one of the prime functions of guberment). It'll turn you into a contentious objector real fucking fast.

Dealing with shit like washing human paste off the pavement with a fire line at 3AM, looking for a severed head from a rollover, moving deathfats with maggots in their limbs (and the smell of gangerene), drug addicts, gunshot victims from dumb shit, child abuse is the routine. This is assuming you don't get maimed or die from the following:

Stabbed, shot, burned, suffocated, impaled, bludgeoned, bitten, canceled (by social media retards), disease, radiation (radionuclides via fedex and UPS... Usually no Hazmat label), chemicals, suicidal attention whores, arsonists, exploding propane/LNG tanks, IEDs, flattened by a rubbernecker, etc.

You might even get vaporized with the majority of your

The fact that you made this thread in the first place tells me that, perhaps, you’re not as confident about wanting to join the armed forces as you think you are.

If there was a foreign entity that was directly invading the USA via military force, then I’d say “go for it” because you’d be protecting the country in that instance.

However, given the context of geopolitics as it is, there isn’t a military force on earth that is going to do a hard invasion of the USA anytime soon. Russia, China, Iran and North Korea do not have the military strength or resources to pull it off in the first place. Which means, there’s no reason to enlist.

Do you really want to displace entire families overseas just to protect the ruling class’ assets?

Do you think you can get used to looking the other way when American and/or allied soldiers rape women and children/commit some other horrendous war crimes that they’ll never be held accountable for?

And, say if you decide to murder some war criminals to protect civilians, are you prepared to be turned into a villain by UN run courts?

Any good person would go mad when they have UN pedo stooges telling them that they can’t kill child raping war criminals.

However, if you genuinely want to protect the country then I think you should look into getting a job within border security. Not only will you be assisting authorities to protect people from South American cartels, but you’ll potentially be rescuing kids from the clutches of said cartels.

Yes, the media will hate you for doing it but there are more than enough people who will be aware that you’re doing far more to help protect the country than anyone in the armed forces. But, that shouldn’t matter to you if you’re not seeking glory but are doing what is right for the American people.

Plus, with border patrol you can either be patrolling along the border or be on the coast (and go boating, which is fun).

Or alternatively, you can look into careers within law enforcement. Yes, there are corrupt cops out there but small town branches tend to be the most chill places to work for. You’d still have a job protecting citizens at the end of the day, even if the media hates you for doing your job.

But alas, it’s your life and I can’t control what you do with it. Just think about it before you jump head first into a career that you’ll later come to resent or that you got into for the wrong reasons. There’s plenty of ways to help protect the country without joining the military, just need to look for them.

Sometimes I think that Red Dawn was a psychological operation and smoke screen to hide the true non-violent communist infiltration of America's institutions through descendants of Jews that fled the Czar's pogroms and Stalin's purges.
