Cyber Sleuth/Hacker’s Memory are pretty fun if fairly basic RPGs while Survive is more of a visual novel than anything, though I hear it’s still good.

So Cyber Sleuth and Survive are very different games. CS is more of a turn based JRPG, and Survive is a visual novel with turn based tactical RPG battles. There was also a Digimon World game which was more like the old PS1 games.

As other have said, Cybersleuth or Hackers are a decent starting point that are traditinal JRPG. For true autism go Digimon World 1 on Play Station. Arguably the most Digimon game that's similar to the v-pets. Survive is not an SRPG but a visual novel. It's decent if you're into the anime as there are several shout outs. Digimon World Next Order is being re-released for the switch and PC next year which is closer to the World series where its more raising and training. I believe they're tying to go in a few directions with the franchise. Story games that are more story and JRPG and World games that are raising Digimon like the V-pets. occasionally they'll do different things live survive. There's also a fanmade fighting game similar to rumble arena currently being made.

I wish you hadn't mentioned Digimon rumble arena, I'm just getting flooded of weekend sleepovers playing that until like 3 in the morning.

Those were the good ol' days. Played 2 with my brother so much; it was basically our childhood.
Nowadays... the only thing that I've seen out of the Digimon franchise in years - aside from the games that have popped up - was the Tamers series getting an episode a year or so ago attacking political correctness. Saw a few furry heads explode at that one.

It was a live script reading that wasn't meant to be taken seriously. Konoka, the main writer, believes in conspiracies as well as questioned the 911 story and more recently has questioned the covid origin story. Always felt his stuff was overrated and he needed a tard wrangler to keep him in check.
It doesn't help that the main English Digimon website is ran by a sperg with a tranny translator
Ghost Game is pretty decent. It's episodic but slowly building a myth arc. It helps that the characters are likeable and was even able to redem the AIDScat from Digimon Tri. Since Hunters, Tri, Appmon, Kizuna, and Colon were all mediocre to terrible, GG has been the best Digimon series in years.
Animation errors are pretty common, albeit pretty hilarious depending on which frame you see it.
Boy, I really hope somebody got fired for that blunder.

Ciber sleuth was fine, just temper expectations since it kind of wants to be persona but with a fraction the budget, style and grace, but I enjoyed my time with it. Never played Hacker's memory so don't know if it's more of the same or has more to it.
Survive was a lot more my jam and a recommend if you are mostly an anime fan like SteelPlatedHeart said. But it's a full blown visual novel, the SRPG aspect is pretty barebones and the game plays a lot with ilussion of change which left me a bit sour once I looked into it. But it can be considered a lost season of the anime.

Hacker's memory is more of the same, a lot of reused assets.
I went to look up if there was any news about another CS game, and saw that the CS/HM bundle is on sale on steam for $13.

Been a fan since Adventure first aired here. Now im quiet mostly around the fandom et large since Bleach came back and just lurk for the designs and lore. I have the CS/HM bundle on steam and while i haven't finished either (playing CS but im on a monhun and league kick right now) CS is the anime we all want overtly or secretly while being less of a grindfest like the other games and KDMO/GDMO (the mmo ones). Im happy with CS but I've never had the tamagotchis or digivices as a kid lmao.
As for Ghost Game, its a nice episodic show if you're into shows with continuity and at the same time pure episodic vibes. I personally dropped the show because I started getting bored.

One thing that GG has above the Adventure garbage is that it's written by a guy who worked on Tamers and 02. He's great with the horror aspects of the show but again i just got bored. Ain't autistic as fuck where i just need a plot all the fucking time, i jus' don' loike bein' bored.

I don't think Konoka has worked on anything Digimon related since Tamers and the related readings and CD dramas. The guy that wrote V-Tamers (a manga) is doing some designs and writing for the show

I have been informed that MarcFBR called the Latino Digimon community the "Brazilian Mafia"... As if bullying people our of the Digimon fandom, banning people from his forums for not liking Tri, and attacking Vic Mignogna was not enough for this guy. And remember...THIS is what that rat looks like.

Optimistic for thinking his casual racism can get him canceled in the fandom, but if not even WtW being claimed to be unfriendly to LGBT fans could get him canceled, then nothing will. He can't even get #MeToo'd because the dude clearly can't force a girl to touch his micropenis since they all run screaming at the sight of him.

Well, there is a lack of screenshots of his antics aside from what I gathered of my experience and what some others have vented about. People need to stop being so scared to post stuff that actually happened. The more people post, the more likely he will get karma. The current cancel culture we have is toxic but so is then culture of people being too scared to show actual evidence of someone actually abasing them on social media.

WtW used to be the biggest digimon forum even during like 2010 when Digimon was essentially a dead franchise all because Marc couldn't handle people saying Tri sucked when even the Japanese have acknowledged as terrible movies and Kizuna not only didn't follow up any of the plot points left over (and there were plenty) but did everything it could to separate itself from Tri
Digimon is mostly a fandom for autistic millennials who don't participate in cancel culture (more of a tranny thing) and Marc employs a tranny to translate for him, so he can shield himself from some accusations

I forgot who they were but there was this one Brazilian fan that Marc absolutely despises and banned them from the Digimon subreddit because they criticized Tri. He also threatened to ban them from every Digimon community he runs.
Also does anyone know about Marc’s orbiters? I know there’s the other WtW admin named Vamde who seems a bit like a female version of him and a cosplayer named Airdramon who is also a mod on the Digimon subreddit. She defends him a lot, I was on another discord server where people were shit talking about Marc and she immediately started defending him.
