To be honest, I don't blame Ziegler for this. She got a lot of shit when she said it wasn't going to portray her as a passive protagonist. She could have worded it better but the death threats she recieved were insane, and she is clearly so much more talented than cardboard Gadot. (She literally couldn't make it to present at the Academy Awards during West Side Story because nobody gave her a ticket.....despite being the female lead AND the ugly guy lead getting one over her. She had to literally hop a plane the morning of!)
But the dwarves helping her clean makes absolutely no sense. She literally is supposed to be doing stuff for them because they are letting her stay with them, so it is to repay them for their generosity. She's doing it out of the kindness of her heart, yet here they are fucking up everyone's characterization.....

If we absolutely need a Toy Story 5 (3 was the canon ending idgaf they should have done a short for Bo instead) can we PLEASE get Sid back and Erik Von Detten? He and his wife have a successful real estate business but still.

The thing about Rachel is that she’s trying way too hard to be some “girlboss” and it’s backfiring spectacularly. She managed to piss off everyone during *West Side Story* by flexing about being the "real Latina" even though she’s Colombian, not Puerto Rican. Now she’s doing a Brie Larson 2.0 with *Snow White*.

The Disney adults are clueless. They don’t get that *Snow White* was a massive gamble back in the day. No one in Hollywood thought a feature-length cartoon would work—Walt Disney got clowned hard for even trying it. But he and his team pulled off something insane by taking everything Hollywood was doing and pushing it to the next level. *Snow White* wasn't just a success; it was a miracle.

Back then, *Snow White* became a symbol of hope during the Great Depression. Her optimism and idealism made her an icon, just like Mickey Mouse. But now, Disney’s basically trying to erase all that history for some shallow woke points. They’re downplaying their biggest artistic achievement to pander to the loudest voices online.

OH God please make it stop. This franchise is becoming a more retarded version of "The Land Before Time" movies, they just keep making sequels for no other conceivable reason than short monetary gains. Three movies is the absolute limit any of these type of films have any right to be made and never touched again. I honestly think Toy Story 2 should have been the end of it and with 3 they really stretched it but somehow managed to stick the landing on that one.

Approving a part 4 is where Pixar lost the plot. I refuse to see that movie because I know it is going to cheapen my opinion on the entire previous three movies. Do these morons don't understand that franchise fatigue is a very real phenomenon and that they are devaluing the previous films by releasing more and more sequels?

The Incredibles is another one where they are in a far worse position than Toy Story because at least Toy Story 2 was good, The Incredibles 2 was so bland and meandering that it tarnished the story of the original. If they make a part 3 with the type of writing that is so common now it is going to completely crater the franchise. Again, Pixar cannot longer impress audiences with 3D animation as a selling point. literal 16 year-olds are making impressive 3D animated short films using Blender out of their bedrooms. Solid cinematography, art direction and story telling is going to make or break your movie.

I recently had a chance to see Inside Out 2 and it felt like I was watching an extended episode of a Saturday morning cartoon. It wasn't a bad movie but it felt very subdued, even average looking. At the end it left me thinking; Was this sequel really necessary? I dread now that we are going to keep getting more of these movies portraying the main character growing older and I cannot think of a more boring premise for a movie series than this.

Destroying institutional experiences will stop making them an institution.

Disney fans criticis Universal all the time for tearing shit down and replacing it with new rides.

There are certain parts of Disney World that define the park. Frontierland and walking around the rivers, the boat, or the train isnt something people gush about when going to Disney but it helps immerse people they are going to an institution.

You can slowly piece by piece change it but too much too fast is gonna piss people off. Nobody is even mentioning how this will murder the train. If they had just redid Tom Sawyer there wpulf be grumbling but no real backlash. Nerfing a major part of the visual experience of the park so they can make a land for Disney adults is fucked. Villians land is the disney adults ask, tourists and kids dont obsess on the villians like that.

It might be better to just assume it will be woke and move on. That way it doesn't hurt so bad when that comes true, and if it doesn't you're pleasantly surprised.

Villians land will be mega woke. Cars will just be boring and its them chasing the "success" they had with cars at the other california park they struggle to get people to go too.

Meanwhile Universal is test flying full size Toothless drones for how to train your dragon land.

Neither Ziegler nor Gadot can act their way out of a paper bag. Reminder that Patty Jenkins didn't even want Gadot in the role of Wonder Woman and was stuck with her because of Snyder. Not to mention Gadot's utter inability to adopt a normal English accent during filming so they made the other Amazon actresses and extras copy her Israeli accent instead. Woman is basically a prime example of Jewish nepotism in Hollywood, she doesn't even have good looks to carry her like Scarlett Johansson did.

Both her and Ziegler are horribly miscast in this film.
 
just a quick reminder that if you're ever buttmad about changes to Epcot the first word out of your mouth had better be "Horizons"

They could also break Disney's "major" rule and add DTVA IPs to the games.

I mean SE technically did when they added those DuckTales 2017 medals to their now-dead mobile game but last time I checked that was more of a one-time promotional thing, IIRC the medals were only obtainable from a paid banner that was only ran once during the game's entire lifetime and were never added to the general "pull" pool. And before anyone says anything Scrooge and the Beagle Boys are considered Disney Shorts characters just like Donald and Goofy are while Experiment 221/Sparky is part of the Stitch "branding" that's insanely popular in Japan.

That wouldn't ruin the game, if anything, it would be a very pleasant surprise. (Unless its one of their newer more woke shows.)

For fucks sake. Whole point of the orginal scene was to Snow white's personality and strengths. She cleaned the house without being asked because it was something she could do. She is a kind person and she felt sorry for the owners for having such a filthy place. Yes, she also hoped that they might let her stay if she showed herself be useful but mostly she just wanted to help. The animals followed her ideas and example because she kept mood light and happy (and because the animators were more familiar with slapstick). While largely devoted to the funny animal antics, you can see Snow white busy cleaning trough out the musical number.

Here we otherhand have a bossy girl telling guys to do better while just being around rather than involved with the job.
