I don't disagree with that. Eternal was very different than 2016 and I loved it, but a lot of my criticisms don't have to do with the game "not being Eternal again". There's a lot of really wonky decisions that were made that detract from both gameplay and immersion. Regardless of how the game itself stands against its predecessors, there are actual glaring flaws in its design that detract from the experience, with some of them not existing in the previous game in the franchise.I’d rather ID experiment and try new stuff, see what works and doesn’t than just make the same game over and over.
