But he has heart. He loves what he does.

And he loves his fans. He reads all the comments, good or bad.

He does o ne thing over and over, but he does it well.

Phil plays every game under the sun with no insight or intelligent commentary.

He fails. Oxbow fails too but when he does he explains why. "My seek skill wasn't high enough" etc. Let's lol that and try again.

Phil blames the game. Oxbow encounters bugs and says "I've played this part 5 times and this is a legitimate bug. This is how you go around it."

Phil makes way too much content, but Oxbow makes 6 vid a week ranging from 12min to over an hour.

Phil snorts, belches, swears, and makes crass jokes. Oxbow is classy and even though fallout has a lot of swearing, he doesn't do it himself.

Why is Oxbow popular and Phil dwindling?

Audience. I'd rather listen to someone who sounds smart talk about games than listen to an Adam Sandler tape from 1995. "This popcorn tastes like jizzb ack ack ack!"

If you act like a child you will attract children. If you are a serious reviewer you will attract serious gamers.

Oxbow puts out 6 10min+ vids a week and gets thousands of views on each because he is a gentleman.

i don't think he's ever spoken positively of his parents, he'll take a shit on fans whenever they say something slightly 'wrong' and go on an incredibly hurtful tangent (a la Waifudestroyermatt; he told someone to "go die" and talked to him about it in a podcast; the Wardogleader blowup; etc etc), he abandoned and slandered his friends from Connecticut completely because they couldn't make videos with him and help him make money, and recently one of his personal highlights for getting into a relationship is having someone who wants to cook and clean for him

Less is more Phil. People don't need to hear you rambling on for 45 minutes in a pre-stream. You talking to much has gotten you into trouble before and will get you in trouble again.

Secondly, people have given you good solid advice before about how to help your channel grow, but you plug your ears as soon as they mention editing or not uploading 50 ten minute videos in 1 day. If you seriously want to continue this as a career choice, then you have to start adapting to the way things are.

Lastly, if you really do have a new girlfriend moving in soon, you need to start making life changes now or it is just going to be like Leanna all over again. We all know that your girlfriend will be forced to get a job within 2 months of her being there and if that is the case, then you need to adapt to her schedule, not the other way around. No more sleeping in till 12pm or staying up all night watching movies or wrestling. Your relationship with Leanna broke down because she was basically living alone while you did what you want, when you wanted too. Don't have just one day a week where you spend time with her but go to bed together some nights or make sure you up and out of bed before she heads off to work. Seriously, your "job" allows you to work when ever you want, put her first and not the streams.

Do you mean Oxhorn? The amount of content that guy has managed to squeeze out of three games is amazing. His videos are entertaining but clearly require a degree of diligence and planning that Phil is simply incapable of.

I know telling a narcissist to lighten up and stop taking themselves so seriously is a seriously stillborn idea, so instead I think Phil's best avenue of improvement is to take a lesson from other streamers in the importance of being courteous and gentle with your audience, even when they annoy you, instead of having a constant chip on your shoulder that will only make you look like an angry little man and turn new viewers away. The customer service analogy someone used here is perfect.

Phil would do well to just lighten up. Every criticism is like a direct attack to Phil's life and "legacy." We're all fucking idiots, and if someone points it out, the best thing to do is laugh, and try to do better.

I don't think Phil is irredemable, but he's always either defensive or attacking something else to draw attention away from him, and it makes him look like a bitter, angry man clinging desperately to a life and hobby he doesn't even enjoy anymore for people he doesn't really like.

Also, my dude, if you can't grow a full beard, just shave it.

1. When you speak, get to the fucking point. Nobody wants to sit through 20+ minutes of someone talking, when it can easily be summed up in a quarter of that time. You say you're only "here to play games", and that you don't have much time inbetween streams. Then do that, and stop spending so much time going on long diatribes about nothing relevant. New viewers/randoms don't want to turn up for hour long rants, instead of actual gameplay.

2. Don't act like a clown. You say you don't, but the footage of you overacting, flying of the handle, waving your arms about like a wacky-inflatable-arm-flailing-tubeman all speaks for itself. Nobody is expecting you to show no emotion, but it comes across very hypocritical when you shit on people that "overact", when you yourself do exactly that.

Let's get one misconception out of the way, none of us (at least I sure hope so) have an issue with Phil being bad at games.

1. Phil needs to be more transparent with his "problems." For the most recent example, this entire escort saga would have been avoided entirely if he had just showed proof that he actually owed $3000 in taxes and not try to keep it hush hush as that was one of the main reasons people were believing the Dutch scammers over Phil, which leads to...

2. Phil needs to give us a reason to trust what he says. As it stands, his word means absolutely nothing because it has been proven time and time again that Phil isn't the honest person he claims to be.

3. Nasal drip repair surgery. This would permanently improve the quality of his streams as this would get rid of the snorting that everyone finds disgusting. The burping needs to stop as well because let's face it, Phil is not Howard Stern, as much as he wants to be. In the less than 1% chance that Phil actually reads this, here is some free advice as to how he can get the surgery, do a "stop the snort" fundraiser stream. Your fans will not be able to resist contributing.

4. Shorten the prestreams. Phil loses far too many potential subscribers to the prestream length and this is a big problem when Phil wants to start weening himself off of Patreon and instead go for Twitch subscriber goals instead.

I don't know if it was just a coincidence but based on the 3 dox, ban and KG, Phil has a certain demographic that seems to flock to him.

I think one of Phil's bigger flaws is how he feels he doesn't owe his patrons anything. That Sunshine playthrough should be a big enough red flag for anyone considering supporting Phil

Moving away from the mic when snorting, but I guess he snorted right into the mic for extra audience disgust for so many years he thinks it is okay now.
Shortening the prestreams. I mean there is so much downtime, load time and walking simulation in his "gameplay" that he could talk about stuff that's not directly connected to the game. But no, lets stretch the prestreams to half an hour of ranting and spreading lies.
