Where did these types of avatars come from? Why did they become popular with 30 year old boomers?

It minimizes his nose size, cuts it right in half. Also it eliminates his jug ears. Amazing he kept his down-turned eyes, though they are less beady. I'm sure he sees that all as a plus.

Still not as extreme as that Brian of London feeb:

Has Null created his own search engine yet? wishful thinking
Imagine the worldwide reeing that would cause once people start seeing hits from a kiwoogle bot in their server logs. (kiwing is a little more dignified maybe.)

The root cause definitely seems to be Bing. I assume they know who the culprit is behind this.
In the recent Project Veritas Google leaks it was mentioned that Bing is working with the usual censors, including the ADL.
DuckDuckGo never had better search results than Google and I don't know why people kept saying otherwise. (Yandex image search is good though.)

Edit: Can confirm that Kiwifarms isn't listed, with or without a space and regardless of incognito.
Bing-based search engines often can provide results that Google blacklists. Lots of important and relevant stuff I would never have found if I stuck strictly to Google. There was one issue for me recently where Google would cut out results when appending 'zionist' to search terms. I forget the specific names I was researching, but apparently Google would nix any results that included their name in regards to zionism, whereas Bing would prominently display them proudly waving their goblin flag.

For a while I have thought Bing had become more tightly controlled than they used to be, and this KF move seems to prove that. Now if only I can get Yandex to stop showing me results in russian.

remember the disaster that was becandid? i wouldn't be surprised if duckduckgo was another one of those one day. there's been an uptick in "non-intrusive" software/apps/browsers lately marketed toward the technologically senile.

I'm using all regions in my search of Kiwifarms and it will not show up
how ever though. I can hit the site by typing in the "site:" then input kiwifarms

I know somebody might have already told you this, but Kiwi Farms seems to be excluded from search results there as well.
Insofar as a Searx instance is not returning results for kiwifarms.net, this would likely be because many of them are set up to use Bing as their primary or only engine for web search results, avoiding Google. You should be able to tell if you poke around in the interface.

There's a very good reason for this. The last time I used a Searx instance which had Google turned on it started failing badly when Google started throwing captchas at it. As far as search engines I've used for a good while go, using them on Tor/shared VPN ips, this is the order in which they throw captchas:
  1. Qwant
  2. Yandex
  3. Google
  4. Bing (way behind Google, only seen captchas a couple times)
  5. DuckDuckGo (never)
Not throwing up captchas is literally the only thing DDG has going for it.

Bing de-indexed you because someone reported the mumkey jones video as revenge porn. All the other search engines mentioned draw their results primarily if not exclusively from Bing's search API.
This makes the most sense.

The hype over revenge porn was mostly bullshit hysteria. Even the J-Law case was just photos of her rendezvous with Harvey Weinstein getting leaked.

Any Russian tech company/service that isn't completely underground will have been compromised by state security services in some way. However, I don't think the Russian government gives a shit about what we're doing on this site. It's not like we have prominent threads dedicated to mocking Putin or his inner circle (or anything else that might place us in FSB crosshairs). The censorship/social control priorities of the Russian state are so different from the kind we are worried about with tech companies and banks here in the West, that I wouldn't really draw a parallel.

Also, as for the DDG delisting, I have noticed that KF always shows up when my sensitivity setting is on 'Moderate,' but not when it is on 'strict' nor when it is disabled. I am using one of Nord's obfuscated servers (Miami), but this doesn't seem to matter as much as sensitivity setting (in my case).
I don't really have an explanation for this.
For Western operations post-Cold War, the Russians care about spreading chaos. It's why they back all forms of extreme views, from Communism to neo-Nazis. It's why both Richard Spencer and Ted Rall are equal fans of Bashar al-Assad.

Joshua Moon's been whoring this site out to trolls and provocateurs for a long time. At least since late '15. But that's not a secret.

Interesting. Also, DDG still supports Kiwi Farms search results if you change the region setting to Russia. Haven't tested it with any other countries, though.

Should have known that a tech company with a qUiRkY, nErDy image like DDG would be one of the "right side of history", anti-free speech types.

That isn't what happened. They just draw their results from Bing, and the site was tagged as a revenge porn distributor because of the Mumkey sex tape.

That still exposes DDG as just Bing with a different coat of paint, but that's gonna be the case for all search engines that aren't affiliated with the top companies 'til a genuinely new idea comes along. And even if one does, they'll probably just get bought out.

Lol, just speculation. You have nothing.

It's worthless to make claims about who was responsible for the attack until the attacker can be identified.

It wasn't my speculation. I heard it from @castaway on the previous page.

I just believe it because Bing's the bigger site, DDG already uses Bing to get search results, and the de-indexing happened there too.

You're a special kind of stupid, aren't you?
They're called "eyes". They're not hard to use.

Null's far from alone. Twitter's notorious for tolerating bots and provocation, and Facebook's even worse. It doesn't create new views out of whole cloth, but the nasty manipulation and inflammation of what's already there has ugly results.

Nobody gets to open up shop in a Russian fiefdom for free. Not even for small-time operations.

Oh? So you're just repeating speculation? I guess that makes it fact, then.

Well, duh. That DDG is dependant on Bing is very obvious and proven by the evidence.

So either Null is able to get that resolved, or Bing will identify themselves as collaborating in the attack.

It's not, but neither is the speculation about DDG being the source.

The Mumkey revenge porn thing on Bing just makes the most sense, and I'm always a believer in picking the most sensible option unless enough evidence comes along to favor a more out-there possibility.

He probably won't. Null's name's been mud for a while. And unlike Grayzone or The Intercept, Kiwi Farms doesn't have any proper connections with power players in the US, nor has anyone in the MSM used their resources to give Null a sexy makeover like what was done with Edward Snowden.

The site likely won't last much longer. ED'll probably follow not long after. And any Dark Web substitute'll never catch on enough to succeed these sites.

Sure, there are worse sites that'll continue to be operated and unnoticed, especially sites involving animal-human sex fetishes. But what's fair and what is have and will always be two separate things.
