Re4 was scary
Honestly, I played the RE4 PC release for the first time a little while ago, and it wasn't scary at all. Decent fun, but not really horror at all. Maybe it's just me, but from what I've seen of the older RE games, it seems like they went for disempowering, clunky controls in the absence of the ability to do real horror with the tech they had.

The problem is that that doesn't really translate well at all in modern terms. Their only options are to make RE an action shooter that's still kinda clunky, like 5 and 6 embraced, or go in another direction altogether, which is what they've done here.

I'm a huge RE sperg but I have mixed feelings about 7. I know 5 and 6 where hated because they detracted from the horror concept and went full action and I'm glad we are going back to the roots but a 1st person game? RE does not have a good track record with first person games.

Granted they've all be light gun games but still.

Fuck you the light gun games on the Wii are really good.

It's seems like after 4 they couldn't nail down what direction the franchise wanted to go in.

The most likely reason for this is that Shinji Mikami left some time after 4.

Detroit: Become Human.

My condolences on being retarded.

I really liked Sony's conference. Especially with the announcement of God of War and Crash Bandicoot. Crash's Skylander appearance isn't that bad at all; At least it's not as butt fucking ugly as Spyro the Pug-Faced Dragon. I look forward to the remastered Crash Trilogy.

And I thought that Days Gone was The Last of Us 2 for a second; way to set me up for disappointment Sony :(

Resident Evil VII doesn't feel like Resident Evil at all. I thought it was gonna be PT. And from the looks of it, it's going to be a VR game. Shame.

Yep a shame, The evil within is good tho

I'm confused about this new Kojima game (thankfully is going to be released for PC according to a old interview, no need to drop shekels in a PIESFUR) but i don't know what it is, is a shooter? is a stealth game? is a mech game? the only thing we have is the trailer and the couple of pics that Kojima showed of LUDENS

Still is weird as shit, like everything kojima does so im going to play it because im going to like it

bonus: reddit now praise kojima for his exquisite expertise in portraying norman reedus ass

CRASH BANDICOOT REMASTER HYPE TRAIN

GET THE FUCK IN

YEEEEEE. Me, pretty much:

But yeah, Sony did a very good conference here. New God of War, new (sort of) Crash Bandicoot, New Kojima game, New interesting original IPs. I might actually be convinced to get a PS4 at some point. Maybe.

Just watched Sony's conference as I wasn't staying up till after 3 am this year due to work.

I liked the "no bullshit, just games" approach. Consider God of War on my watch list, it's definitely different which is what the series needed, but not convinced yet. Also worth noting is that the skill increase pop-ups in the bottom right suggest to me that you'll be playing as the son, not Kratos. It was the boy that was doing the learning, but I'm maybe overthinking it.

Horizon: Zero Dawn looks better than it did last time out, combat seems far more fluid than before so worth keeping on eye on.

Detriot: Become human. I think "interesting" is the word for that one.

Kojima's new game. Dafuq did I just watch? Liked the soundtrack though.

Final Fantasy XV. The character design for Cidney was cringeworthy enough, now you can ogle her tits in vr. They just sold a million vr headsets to neckbeards the world over.

Call of Duty: You know something? I had no idea that was Call of Duty until the end. Good in a way, but disappointing that you'll only pilot a space fighter then breach an enemy carrier in one mission.

Annoyed not to see Persona 5 or the new Ace combat.

While I'm not really hyped for Crash being in Skylanders, it is a very smart business strategy. A lot of the newer generation of kids play Skylanders and if they're introduced to Crash in the game then that'll want to make them buy (or force their parents to buy) the Crash remasters and the more those sell, the more likely we'll be able to get completely new and original Crash games.

You got time to save up because Sony once again did their usual thing of hyping up titles that you aren't going to be able to play for another a long while yet. God of War isn't gonna be available until 2017 if we're lucky. The Kojima thing was essentially a proof of concept- they haven't even nailed down the game engine they're using for it yet. And since it's a Kojima game you can expect him to take his sweet time on it.

Only thing for me that looked somewhat interesting was Horizon: Cavewoman Robot Smasher and the Insomniac Spider-Man game, but neither of those warrant me feeling like I have to buy another PS4 (first one I gave to my bro).

Back on the E3 train, Nintendo will be having their conference digital event livestream in a little over an hour of this typing. I wanna be excited but I've learned to temper my enthusiasm when it comes to the Big N.

Exactly. I've seen a strangely large amount of people complaining that we're only getting remasters and Crash as a Skylanders character. But this is actually a really great opportunity. If the remasters sell well (there should be enough Crash fans ready to make this possible), and, optimally, Crash's Skylander figure sell well (there might be enough SL fans willing to make this possible), we're likely in for getting an actual sequel, and Crash actually being back for real!

Less than 24 hours ago, I was sure that Crash was dead and getting a new game would require something like a miracle. Now, I have hope.

No worries, I'm broke right now lol. Notice I said "at some point".

If Capcom just slapped a different name on it I don't think it'd be that bad. It looks okay, not something I'd personally buy, but not terrible. Unfortunately, they know that by putting the RE name onto it will generate sales.

I'm hoping they don't wind up dropping the RE3 remake when RE7 doesn't do as well as they thought it would.

The R.E. demo is just P.T. again (even has a ghost lady) but I'm not complaining; the franchise might as well try taking that spot (even if the game is nothing like it). People are currently stuck on trying to solve it.

Xbox's was better than Sony's for a change this year. Hell must have frozen over!
I preferred Sony's simply because there was no fluff; they showed trailers, talked a small amount and left (even though I'm not interested in VR and some of their other games).

Hopefully Detroit will be as bad as Heavy Rain; that's the vibe I'm getting. Good but in the wrong way.

Nintendo just spent about forty minutes talking about Pokemon.

The only one of those games that I liked was Murdered: Soul Suspect. You turn into a ghost and a cat in the same game and it's funny as hell. Heavy Rain was just bad.

This new Zelda looks bitching.

And Bill refused to put on some pants, Jesus Bill.
