EDIT 6/21/2022 - Apparently KF has a rule where you can't do more than 10 media tags for youtube videos, so the bottom list will just have links to the videos rather than actual video posts (unless i can do a local archive)

For anyone unaware, E3 got cancelled this year

But game companies are still doing their own showcases. Here are the line-ups:

JUNE 1st:
Games Workshop will host the Warhammer Skulls 2022 Announcement Showcase on June 1 at 1:00PM EST

JUNE 2nd:
Sony announces state of play for June 2 at 6:00PM EST

I have an idea for an inexpensive alternative to E3 that I think would really appeal to both publishers and gamers. Instead of having a trade show to announce new games, they should have a trade show to announce game delays and cancellations instead. All the publishers could drop their bad news at once, and then we, the spited fans, could collectively wallow in our misery and hatred together for 3 nonstop days of impotent anger, stupid memes, and tweeting death threats to developers.

Sony: Here's some Dad of War and a bunch of Marvel and Hideo Kojima garbage. Here's PSVR 2, so you can have fun not being able to find one while also not finding a PS5.

Microsoft: Here's a Halo Infinte Battle Royale, it's totally getting better guys! Sorry Starfield got delayed and we're not going to show anything from Fable or Perfect Dark, here's some Sea of Thieves garbage instead. Maybe some Forza bullshit too. Also you can buy a disk drive for Series S because that's the only thing on store shelves, please buy it.

Nintendo: Splatoon 3, Xenoblade anime shit, Pokemon shit, a flurry of old shit like No Man's Sky, Fall Guys, etc. Some shots or footage of the Mario movie, and then they dim the lights and reveal you've been waiting 5 years for Ganondorfs ragged corpse and some shrines in the sky and here's an amiboo of link without a shirt on and Ganon corpse. Bonus points if they announce a Switch 2/Switch Pro to release with BOTW 2. Give us your money plz!

Devolver Digital: Here's some adult swim level sketch comedy bullshit that you got tired of 5 years ago. Sorry, still haven't convinced the Swedes to make Hotline Miami 3 but here's a lot of soulless edgy garbage we're releasing while we mock soulless corporations.

Ubisoft: Linear Assassins Creed, some sort of Far Cry 6 stand alone expansion or battle royale, another troon for Rainbow Six alien edition, they'll totally ignore they took "Tom Clancy" name off XDefiant, some sort of tease involving Splinter Cell that pisses everyone off, maybe show off Mario and Rabbids 2. Completely ignore the fact they are in the midst of a hostile takeover or whatever.

Hotline Miami 1 and 2 at least felt like there was some passion put into them, and even though I think Hotline Miami 2 focused too much on gunplay I found them to actually have a solid gameplay loop.

Everything else I've ever played that DD have published have felt like corporate edgeyness and *trying* to be indie and honestly played kind of shitty.

I only want to see what Godd Howard has to share on Starfield.

I expect nothing good or remotely interesting from this (not)E3. The western gaming industry has been pozzed to hell and every major publisher and studio has adopted the DIE agenda that has killed any creativity and originality.
I hope that Devolver won't do another Reddit show. Their passive-agressive style was never funny. Same goes with the "PC Gamer Show", just let discount Daisy Ridley announce the new games sponsored by Epic Games Store and AMD.
