Uh oh! We couldnt make people mad about the quest system or UI. Lets put vague sexual discrimination out there at FROM, maybe now people will be mad!

Western sjws don't actually know anything about foreign countries despite claiming to be worldly and cultured. The Japanese don't give two shits about #metoo. Attempts to astroturf both that and BLM in Japan have gone over like lead balloons.

I just found out how stupidly broken Hoarfrost stomp is. What the best weapon I can put it on? I've been using it on the Zweihänder.
I don't think it matters since if you put a couple points in MND you'd never need to swing it. I suppose something light would let you wear more fashions, something long could help with the occasional bird or finishing off a stompee, and it adds cold so something fast could help inflict frostbite (which it also does), or add it to an innate bleed weapon for frost AND bleed. Those are often fast too (and light... talons/hookclaws/uchigatana maybe depending how you want to trade off length?). But whatever you feel like I guess since it's already overkill.

They're not talking about that, they're just referencing Japan's well known awful work conditions and corporate mentality that exists in many companies. It's part of the reason why they have a declining birthrate.

It's just the low hanging fruit. Having a Work/Life balance is part of the current corporate struggle especially since many people got real used to working at home.

Rate my fit, boys

finally some fun build
Considering how the game’s early meta seems to favor twinky katana/caster shit it seems like it’d be a fun way to screw with people. I’d probably also put the Golden Vow ash on a dagger or something and throw the faith he needed for the spell into health and endurance to get more poise to make it even safer.

agree, since for Faith build is either Glowing Ring Sytche or Reflecting Shield

Any advice on beating Maliketh? The first phase is fine and I've tried this boss so many fucking times that I've pretty much memorized the first phase. The 2nd phase is the problem. AOE attacks out the ass, really deceptive swings, the beams he shoots out and the followup you always have to be aware of, and -because of the AOE attacks- targeting him can massively fuck you over because he'll do a dive and you try to roll away but oh fuck, you rolled TOWARDS him and now eat the full AOE.

Almost every single video I've looked up has a magic user using ashes. The one video I found of a guy going melee I think he just lucked out and didn't encounter the AOE very much. I've even tried to summon and with just shy of a million users on Steam I can't find anyone. I did find one guy but he sucked and just allowed himself to die.

I had the double greatsword build and just let the Mimic deal with him and occasionally I jump attacked him and ran away.
Absolutely atrocious boss design and sucked away a lot of my goodwill towards the game.
On my third playthrough, I think I am done for now. I made a new character that would stay in NG for any potential DLC, but I lost interest around Liurnia. I appreciate that FROM made a game that I could really sink my teeth into, because I havnt enjoyed a Souls game since Dark Souls. I am terrible at these games but the ability to just back off from a challenge and go find something else to do until I am stronger really helped.

I think this game is going to cause waves like Skyrim did in 2011. Not to say Skyrim is some masterpiece game, but it influenced fucking everything the last decade. ER will probably do the same, even with its many faults its still a fantastic time that really reinvigorated my love for vidya.
It's hard to say how big ER will be, RDR2 also became a massive cultural phenomenon when it came out only to completely disappear later on.

Does it seem to anyone else that those insta death chariots you have to run past in those two hero graves locations have really really bad hitboxes? I've died like ten times to them trying to clear those areas and I actually recorded my last bit of gameplay and confirmed they didn't touch me, still died though.

I got the Mimic Ashes. Didn't help much. I try to summon at the start of the 2nd phase and boss is like "Nope!" Does beam attack after beam attack that goes right through the pillar.

I'm just sick of bosses like this. It really say's a lot that a ton of YT videos showing how to beat difficult bosses 90% of the time rely on using Ashes to summon, summon other players, or some kind of obscure cheese method or use magic.

I don't care how many faggots come out of the wood work to white knight their lord and masters FROMSoft but this game just has a lot of bad boss design.

I think the game just has a bit too much content stretched pretty hard across a massive, gorgeous world. Breath of the Wild had the same problem where the exploration was great, up until you realized there really wasn't anything out there except boring puzzle dungeons and seeds.

FROM has a massive world, but copying and pasting 4-5 dungeon designs with bosses you can almost always streamroll the first time through was a bit disappointing.

Still a great game, but I stopped going in every dungeon at the moment as there are just too many and very few are interesting. Entire massive sections of the map have these intricate custom dungeons and are finished off with boring or trivial bosses. The underground deer boss is a great example -- feels like it is missing another phase.
